Vacation Strategy-Best Price Guarantee

I have already put a down payment on a stay with Vacation Strategy but I got a better price from a person on ebay...$300 cheaper! Has anyone been able to get a better price on their stay using the Best Price Guarantee?

I did!
But I did it before I put down my deposit so I don't know if it works the same after...
I was just asked to forward the proof of the lower quote and I received another quote for the same price from VS, which saved me over 300$

I did contact Vacation Strategy. They said they would not honor it after the deposit was put down. I guess there is nothing I can do at this point.
