We are considering renting a home/condo insead of onsite of on site for a change. I do not know the areas to search. We want to be as close to Disney as possible. Is windsor hills close? What about other places??

Windsor Hills is one of the closest. It has condos, townhouses and pool homes. Others in the area with the same are Emerald Island and Windsor Palms. Some that have just pool homes in the same area are Rolling Hills, Indian Creek, Formosa Gardens Estates, Acadia Estates, Oak Island Cove and Harbour, Sunset Lakes.
Lots of listings on vrbo.com and homeaway.com for Kissimmee.

There are also timeshare condos that are close: Bonnet Creek, Silver Lakes, Vistana Resort etc.

Take a look at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, especially if a 2 bedroom is big enough. It is surrounded by Disney property. There are lots of threads about it here. For a quick look at the cost, check eBay.
