Before Omicron, we had high hopes of using SW points to fly to Bellingham and then cross to Vancouver/Victoria for Spring Break. That seems highly unlikely as it's becoming time to plan so now thinking of Mount Rushmore/ Crazy Horse, Badlands or maybe a return to Key West, We need to decide in the next few weeks.

This summer we hoped to visit Scotland/Ireland. We're holding off on any decisions and holding out hope that when Omicron wanes the late spring and summer will be much better Covid wise. If our international hopes are dashed for the 3rd year in a row, we're thinking of Boston and Bar Harbor for summer.

Anyone else?

My husband and I are supposed to do Disney at the end of February/beginning of March. Might turn into a solo trip for me depending on how omicron goes.

End of April we are flying to Las Vegas for a few days and then heading over to Zion and Bryce before returning to Vegas for a night and then flying home.

Summer (I work in a school) I'm thinking a (solo) Disney water parks trip with maybe a day at Epcot, but if my husband can't take the February vacation, I'll reassign his ticket to me for then and do a full parks trip.

We are also scheming for something in the south (NOLA? St Augustine?) at Christmas but we will see.

I was just talking with one of my sons on me and DH traveling to his new home in Charleston, SC the 1st week in May. Apparently there is a new variant on the horizon, Fluarona which might deter our plans. :(

I’m actually thinking of the bolded as well (and I actually go to Key West fairly often for work).

I am still sitting on Disneyland Canadian Resident tickets that we were suppose to use in 2020 so hopefully we can finally go sometime this year. Also would love to go Montreal and Ottawa as I am missing my friends from there.

Disney in June for our daughter's senior trip
Disney and probably Universal in October.
Put in for vacation time at Spring break, but no plans yet....somewhere besides Disney!
we haven't been home to Louisiana in many years, and we keep talking about it. Maybe that! Just eat, eat, eat!

My daughter in law and I just had this conversation today…

DD13 is having major surgery (spinal fusion) for scoliosis on 1/25/2022. I have no idea what travel will look like for us in 2022…it will all be based on DDs healing and comfort levels.

Our first post surgery vacation will be only DH, DD and myself. She is our youngest, our oldest 2 are out of the house and married. We vacation all together fairly often, but I fear DD would push herself to do things if we were all together.

If all goes well with surgery and healing the 3 of us will take a laid back central Florida/beach vacation for a week the first week in June. If that goes ok I will talk to the older kids when we get back about doing something all together late summer or early fall.

We have a condo booked in Hilton Head for the first 2 weeks of July and a Disney trip planned for election week in November.

My husband and I are big fans of traveling abroad. We were actually supposed to be in Spain right now. Since COVID we have not traveled abroad at all. We have limited things to the United States. We essentially don't want to be stuck in a foreign country, not speaking the language, with COVID and who knows what'll happen to ya! But we have gone a few places in the US...including FL twice. This summer plans are Vegas and Disney World, Spring Break at the Beach in Cali, Christmas back at WDW. We are looking into a Hilton Head and Charleston or Savannah vacation maybe within 1.5 years... Utah... maybe a Seattle area visit (I am originally from there). We like Yellowstone and will likely go back there relatively soon too. There really are a lot of cool places to see in the US! In October did a short trip to Buffalo, NY (where my husband is from) and did the touristy things like Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls (fun!). So many things to see and do!

I would love to plan Disneyland but my DH doesn't love Disney. He has severe motion sickness so all but the tamest rides are a no go. He was a trouper on many many trips when our kids were growing up but I hate to push for a couple's trip there. And it actually might not be that fun to ride alone or skip rides that would make him sick. Our first grandchild is coming in May so Disney will likely wait until we could take him.

We have no concrete plans at the moment. We're talking about going to our mountain vacation home next month, but it depends on the weather forecast. We won't go if snow is forecast. We might travel during spring break, but haven't chosen a destination yet. Our DS23 is planning to move to NYC in the fall to pursue his theater career. If he does, we will probably go to help him get settled.

I think the talk of Flurona is the phenomena happening now of people testing positive for both flu and Corona. I don't think it's a variant. It's our ususal flu season colliding with a Covid surge.

NYC is one of my favorites. It was our last preCovid trip and I'd be happy to travel there as well.

Beginning of may WDW 1 bedroom grand Floridian seven nights

middle of September WDW 1 bedroom boardwalk seven nights

WDW for a week in October with 2 friends who have never been before.

ODD is going on a choir trip at the very beginning of summer. While she's away, we'll drive to southern CA and take YDD to Universal Studios and probably a day at Disneyland.

Some time this spring, my sister & I are hoping to do a 4-day weekend (like a Thurs-Sun) road trip from AZ to Santa Fe, NM.

We currently have a Disney cruise booked on the Wish for the last week in July. I have paid our deposit but have held off on additional payments as we watch the pandemic and the course it takes on cruising in general.

Covid hasn't stopped us from traveling but cruising feels different. If we don't cruise we will do something else :) I would also like to do something at the end of DD's spring break week but that would be a short 1-3 night thing closer to home.

I thought the next variant that is causing some concern is IHU. Some are worried about this, others not so much. WHO said it is not anything right now but are watching it.

Ft. Myers/WDW trip at the end of this month/beginning of Feb.
I have a quick work trip to Las Vegas, including a quick 24 hours in Denver on the way home to visit a family member.
Another quick work trip mid-March to St. Petersburg, FL.
Cruise in Austria & Hungary at the very end of March...this we are in limbo over, due to concerns over quarantining should the worst happen...we are vaxxed & boosted, and recently recovered from a breakthrough case so we are tossing it around and trying to figure out "what that chances are".
Planning a trip to Scotland next year, but still in planning stages.
We pop down to Ft. Myers from Maryland now & again, but I don't count that as 'vacation plans' ,more like 'lets go see what my parents are up to'!
