vacation planning--a little vent

Okay, so I sent my email off to vacation planning with all my PSs... and I got a nice email back today, a couple of my times were tweaked a little--that is fine, I kinda expected it. But, then the nice person told me to call them with my credit card so they can put it on file for the F! dessert seating--and did NOT include their number. Oh, and she misspelled dining (dinning) three times. Wow...

So, anyone have their phone number?

try calling 714-781-3463, that is the Disney Dining number, I am not sure what option you need to push for the F! Dessert Show, but listen to the options available. :)

Same thing happened to me, minus the spelling errors but they didn't leave their phone number.

Here it is: Vacation Planning (714) 300-PLAN (7526)

thanks, but I needed the vacation planning number, they are separate from dining, it is for people who are staying on-site, they'll do all your bookings for you so you don't have to call multiple times.

I did find the number if anyone needs it: 714-300-7526, option 2.

Edited to add: thanks Jasy!!

Sounds like it totally depends on the CM you get. This is the case with so many situations. Of course knowing how to spell "dining" should be a given for the job. :sad2:
I would be annoyed, too.

I have the exact same problem, spelling errors and all!

Wow, I can't believe the spelling errors. . .that's just awful!

I've never used VP for much of anything, and especially not reservations since it's so simple to do it myself (I'm actually shocked that they had to change any times of your reservations!). And I don't like the idea of them holding onto my CC number for when they can book it, not to mention if they forget to book it.

But if I did, and got such a reply, I *might* be tempted to forward the email to the main VP email address with my concern that someone had hacked their system, since the professionalism was so "off". No phone number, wrong spelling... Of course it might go straight back to the same rep, but if it didn't, at least it would be seen.

Don't want to highjack your thread but I just received this email back from Vacation Planning when wanting to change my Goofy's reservation and add on WOC.

" Thank you for your email. You had made your dining arrangement through Disney Dining and are requesting a World of Color dining package. Disney Dining is the team that handles these bookings. Please call (714)781-3463 and a Cast Member would be happy to assist you!"

Now I can understand if I need to call Disney Dining for my WOC reservation (well not really since they book Fantasmic) but considering the fact that VP made all of my dining reservations for me (which they could see clearly if they scrolled to the bottom of the email since I just hit reply) I am not sure now what to do... I thought one of the "perks" of staying onsite was not having to call DD and make reservations I thought that was what VP was for?

Perhaps I am mistaken?

VP handled everything for us including WOC dinner reservations and RFC. No spelling errors just totally professional through all the emails and phone calls. Is this the TzToT vacation planning.:rotfl:

Must be... I have to wait until I am back home again (at work and can't access email only BB) but I am going to email them back and clarify that they can make these reservations. They've already made 4 others for me...

Well, I did call them to do my F! dessert thing, but it isn't on their calendar yet for 10/9, so she can't even take my card to hold to make the ressie for me at 30 days out. She said call back in a week, that their calendar is not usually this out of date!!! I didn't mention the crazy misspelling of dining, but I did ask why I couldn't have a 8:10 PS for Minnies on a MM day when DL should open at 9 for regular hours, (we don't need to do MM that day, we'll have 2 others we are doing) and she said it had to do with her crazy calendar again, that on 10/10 the earliest seating she has available is 9:10 for Minnies, so again, told me to check with her in another week and see if things have changed.

Oh, and they told me they couldn't do WOC ressies too... she also added that WOC isn't officially on her calendar yet for my dates... which she says her calendar normally has everything 60 days out even if the DL calendar doesn't...

All I can say is I did well by them and have not had any of the listed problems. I do know they can not make reservations if the window is not open as of yet.
