Vacation Makeup

I just wanted to share this girls blog/website.... I dont know if she sells makeup (but I don't think she does), or if it's just her passion, but she always has great tips and reviews about everything, and all brands. Ive tried a lot if things I had never even thought of before. Anyway,if you ever have some extra time, try checking out some of her recommendations and techniques...Http://www.temptalia.com
Sorry, fixed it!

People keep on talking about tinted moisturizer. What kind do you use? I assume you can choose the tint.

I'm so glad someone else is think about this too! I live in the UK so obviously I will be trying to get a tan while I'm in Florida! I was struggling because I thought, if I wear makeup my face won't tan but if I just wear sunscreen, I will look bad in my photos! I know your all probably thinking how vain that is

I'm in WDW 23 September till 5 October and I know it will be hot so make
Up would probably end up rolling down my face anyway :scared1:

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation works fine for me.

Eye Make Up I use Urban Decay or Tarte & have had no issues.

I always wear make up on vacation unless I'm laying at the beach. I dress and look the same as at home. I like Mac eyeliner and maybelline falsies flared mascara! My foundation is from sephora. I had no issues on Disney this past September in the heat and humidity

Ditto. I wear makeup everyday unless I'm getting up in the morning and going straight to the gym. Even on the beach I'll wear a little.

I use spf moisturizer from Mary Kay and their cream to powder foundation. I've never had an issue at Disney, but we always go in September when it's hot and I've had a whole VA summer to get used to the heat.

My mom however usually melts. But she also uses liquid foundation which I don't really like. It depends a lot on how much you sweat and how used to the heat you are.

I'm liking the suggestions for eyeliner though. I use Ulta's house brand day to day and it tends to smudge.

I wear full make-up at Disney, go in the summer and never have had issues with my makeup 'melting'. I think the key to long lasting make-up, at least for foundation and eye shadow, is to use a good primer and a waterproof liner. I have oily skin, so I do have to touch up my foundation during the day, but never my eyes.

I've recently started using a finishing spray to give my foundation extra staying power. It works very well, so I'm interested to see how it holds up this year at Disney.

I love L'Oreal Linear Intense liner and all of the L'Oreal mascaras are fabulous. Especially Voluminous.

The best eye makeup remover I have found is Estee Lauder's. Not oily, not greasy, and it leaves your skin clean but not dried out.

I'm oily too. What brands do you use?

I like Urban Decay 24/7 liquid eyeliner. You'll need eye makeup remover to get it off...that stuff is like paint, won't budge.

I follow my usual makeup routine when I'm at the World: CoverGirl CG Smoothers tinted moisturizer (cheap, cheap, cheap!), MAC or Clinique powder, Revlon eyeliner, CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion mascara, NARS blush and cherry ChapStick or Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer.

After a day or two I usually forgo the blush, but everything else is standard.

if you're looking for a liquid liner, smashbox is practically permanent! it's expensive and doesn't last as long as my MAC liner, but it STAYS PUT

i use maybelline's falsies flared waterproof mascara: big results that last allll day, and you practically need a brillo pad to get it all off :lmao:

anyone have any good tips on a wicked good lip balm/chap stick/ what have you? my lips are constantly chapped, and/or I'm allergic to products and get a rash. I use vaseline while at home, but never in public because i look like a fool.

Well, if the allergies are an issue you may want to have a chat with the people at the Clinique counter in the department store. They offer tons of products that I bet would help with the irritation.

If you think you can handle it, I love Revoln's lip butters. They are super moisturizing and feel great on. They also have some great colors for a little extra touch.

haha thanks! Its funny, I never wear lipstick, so when I try something new and get a rash, people always comment and go "thats a wicked ugly shade of lipstick you picked out, no wonder you don't wear it often".... no thats just me being allergic to everything...

I also use Urban Decay for eyeliner and eye shadow. I don't know what I was missing until I switched because those colors are amazing in look and their quality and how much they last. And sometimes I use the all night setter to help secure it.

I also use Bare Minerals and I haven't had much problem with it, given that I don't touch my face.

My lips used to always be semi-chapped until I started using EOS lip balms. They are the ones that are spheres.

I wear full face in the September heat and humidty and never have a problem with it melting off.I use Murad Oil control mattifier as primer and than Make Up Forever face and body foundation.I use urban decay eye shadow, maybelline waterproof gel eyeliner and Make up forever aqua lash mascara.Add some lip spf/gloss and it is all good.My face doesn't move, and i carry clean and clear blotting papers for touch ups.

I used full makeup when I go to Disney - Mac brand. After all, my look is immortalized in hundreds of photos so I want to look decent. The only time it ran was when I did Kali 4 times straight.

The lipstick I used is the longwear kind.
