Vacation Makeup

During the day, I just do tinted moisturizer with SPF, clear mascara, and lip gloss with SPF. At night, I'll actually put on eye liner. I use Maybelline Eye Pencil (don't know exact name).

For my face I mix a little liquid foundation with my face sunscreen & slap that on with waterproof mascara & lip gloss. I carry the lip gloss with me in the parks. I live in the South & I've learned that anything more just melts off anyway! Plus you can't beat a ponytail for those who have hair issues.

We went Sept 2011 and it was HOT HOT HOT. I wore .99 eyeliner, the normal mascara (pink and green kind lol). I put cocoa butter lotion on my face (natural sunscreen) then I used a bronzing powder. I didn't have any problems. i even wore eyeshadow (wet n wild - the kinds with 3 colors) most days.

I must say, I am a VERYYY big fan of the benefit products! They tend to be on the pricier side, but all well worth it. All their products work extremely well in the heat and are perfect for those of us who has sensitive skin! In terms of mascara I use the Bad Gal waterproof, and their eyeliners are fantastic.

Also, their packaging is so darn cute! .... I know i'm not the only girl who gets tempted by the packaging and not just the product :cutie:

I use waterproof mascara, pencil eyeliner, lip gloss, and carry translucent powder for when it cools down in the evenings. also wear a hat (hair is in pony tail threaded through the hat) to cover up the vacation hair ;)

Waterproof mascara, eyeliner and lip balm was all I needed and and spf moisturizer

Ya the Florida hair killed me more than my makeup when I went

I really like the Sephora waterproof eyeliner-- I used this one last August everyday in WDW and it stayed put through hours in the heat and Kali River Rapids: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P190024&categoryId=S10505&shouldPaginate=true

Mascara-- the best I've ever used is the DiorShow BlackOut Waterproof: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P212928&categoryId=S10510&shouldPaginate=true A bit pricey but lasts until you remove it (a bit tough to remove-- I'd definitely use a good eye makeup remover!)

This is coming from someone who goes to WDW in August with a full face of make-up everyday ;). Benefit's "Some Kind of Gorgeous" is a good alternative to tinted moisturizer-- feels light but gives a bit more coverage.

I love Blinc "tube" mascara....not called "tube", because it comes in a tube, but because it wraps little water-proof tubes around your eyelases. I buy it from Sephora, and is a little pricey at $24, but worth it. Here's a description f it...

****************************

Often, I will even sleep with it on, and there are NEVER smudges in the morning. the best way to remove it is with a warm, wet cloth, and the little tubes slide off you lashes....or tae a warm shower and wipe them off.

*BAM*! Yes. They also make an eyeliner. :thumbsup2

I use this: http://www.cailyncosmetics.com/category_s/196.htm eyeliner. It's not technically waterproof, but stays on better than most waterproofs I use.

You might have to ditch the idea of a pencil. Pencils generally don't stay put as well. I could have reccomended TiGi BedHead's eyeliner - it was PHENOMENAL - but they discontinued it. :headache:

P.S. - it looks like this (comes in all sorts of colors) - if you ever see it on clearance, or anything, pick it up. It's great. A few people mentioned UD 24/7 - it's in that same ballpark. Good stuff.:

Because I like you ;), I am going to the ABS http://www.americasbeautyshow.com/ , this weekend. They sell BLINC.... for $12. PM me if ya want. :flower3:

I was looking for this. I remember taking a picture, after we got rained on, and were waiting for the France movie to start. I was wet, felt grody, and wanted to know how my new lipstick looked. So I took this charming shot. BUT - the FYI on this is this: My shadow, eyeliner and mascara - well all my makeup (except that new lipstick) is from morning. This was like 5pm ~

Highly recommend Maybelline Colossal Volume Falsies Waterproof mascara. Stuff does not budge!

This is what I use, too, and it hasn't failed me yet. It didn't budge in the June or August heat, and it didn't run at the water parks or pool either. For eyeliner, I just use Revlon's ColorStay eyeliner. They have a waterproof pencil that works really well for me.

I am definitely going to have to check into some of these other products that people are posting about, though!

Okay...I'll give Urban Decay a try. Now WHERE the deuce can one find it?? I looked at the UD website and nearly fainted at $19 for one eye liner. Anyplace it might be for less? Also, is it the liquid liner that is waterproof or just the 24/7 pencil liner?

Ladies, what makeup do you use that stands up to the Florida heat and humidity? I'm looking for a good WATERPROOF eyeliner and mascara. I gave up on foundation and powder (even Bare Minerals sucks IMO) and just use moisturizer with SPF.

No makeup just some Burt's Bees or Sex Wax lip balm and moisturizer with SPF.

Try Ulta:thumbsup2

really? make-up? at disney? heat, humidity, sweat, pools, water, chorine, etc etc.

and, no, I dont' wear heels at Disney, either.:rotfl:

(just teasing, before anyone gets all upset);)

Mascara: DiorShow Waterproof. Not only do my lashes look awesome when I walk out the door, but also after a few trips on Splash Mt. or Kali River Rapids as well. If they get too wet, sometimes they'll clump, but I've rarely had that problem. I really want to marry this mascara.

Other makeup: Smashbox cocktail of three things to help get rid of dark circles under my eyes, light liner, maybe some shadow if I know I'm having pics taken. On the rest of my face, truth be told I don't really wear anything other than a UV moisturizer (DDF Daily Protective, SPF 15) on a normal day, so the park is no different.

I always wear make up on vacation unless I'm laying at the beach. I dress and look the same as at home. I like Mac eyeliner and maybelline falsies flared mascara! My foundation is from sephora. I had no issues on Disney this past September in the heat and humidity

I also use the naked palette with the urban decay eye prime, there are 12 different colors in that palette and I use everyone of them and they do stay on all day and night, totally worth the money. As for foundation and powder, I use MAC and it has yet to fail me.

UD is so awesome! The pigments in their eye shadows and their eyeliners are really amazing! I have tried LOTS of high end makeup, and maybe besides MAC, I don't think it can be matched!! Love it! I have the first and the new second Naked palettes and they are both fantastic! I use all e colors, too! And they never fade or come off, even after the water rides!! :)

I absolutely love using Sephora to buy my makeup...and I've used UD's eyeliner too...actually started using it when I got a freebie of it from Sephora. I love their point system and freebies, and have tried so many new brands through them!!
