Vacation Magic announces pool hop ban during Holiday season!

Pool hopping is banned November 26 to December 2 (oops) and December 21 to January 2, 2003, according to Vacation Magic.

This has been done in the past too. Typicaly, pool hopping is banned during peek seasons, and 12/21 to 01/03 is definately peek season.

Yup, nothing new here.... don't they generally shut down pool hopping for the 4th of July weekend & Memorial day as well?

Also during Easter week and heavy Spring Break periods.

Read what the announcement says-It does not say poolhopping is banned or forbidden. It says IF you are poolhopping at that time you MAY be asked to leave to accomodate the guests staying at that resort...this is a very different thing than the all out, year-round ban in place at YC/BC/BCV and AKL. (My suspicions about why they do things this way at the SAB pool are well known to regular readers of this board...)

I wonder why there is a "!" at the end of the thread title, did anyone not expect pool hopping to not available during the holiday season? (oops, double negative) Isn't this standard? It's happenned every holiday where I've been a member. Only difference this year is SAB is legitimately a no pool hopping zone as we've all known was going to happen since last spring.

Did anyone notice that the Vacation Magic stated, "A reminder: Pool-hopping privileges are not offered at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts."? I didn't know that pool-hopping was not available at the quiet pools and the pool at the villas too. I had thought that it was SAB only. Or did I just read this wrong? I guess that it really doesn't matter. I doubt if anyone would really want to hop to the quiet pools.
