We leave next Wed for Orlando but won't arrive at Universal til Thursday as we are spending that first 'travel' day at the Nick Hotel.

Hi there we are flying to Miami on Wednesday then working our way up to Orlando via key west and tampa then onto Orlando on the 1st September to mainly go to universal and IOA. The weather looks pretty wet - rain and stormsetc. has anyone been this time fo year before? and what happens if it rains? do the theme parks close the rides?

How long does it usually rain for ?

This time of year we get lots of afternoon thunderstorms but they are widely scattered and just because the forecast says storms, it doesn't mean it will rain where you are. They don't usually last very long (up to an hour) and once they move on, the humidity can really get bad. Just drink lots of water and stay in the a/c whenever possible.
