Vacation Homes Rental Site Please help...

I would like to go to a rental site that I could put in my dates and they would give me a list of available properties for my time frame. I would also prefer to reserve my chosen home online. I am tired of emailing owners and never receiving an answer. Is there a site like this out there? Thanks!

I just booked our rental home through vrbo.com. I received e-mails back the same day. Just sent our deposit yesterday. Good luck

I just reread your original post and vrbo.com isn't exactly what you are looking for. However on about 90% of the homes I looked at, there was a calendar that showed if the home was available on my dates.

Next Saturday we are staying at a home we rented from allstarvacationhomes.com. Recommende by allears.net. Mention them and I think you get money off. Very easy website to navigate. And so far they've been a breeze to deal with.

Allstarvacationhomes has the kind of search tool on their site you are looking for. Just be prepared for sticker shock on the price of the homes. I have rented vacation homes several times and the homes listed on Allstar seem to be priced much higher than the norm. I've noticed the same homes listed for more on All Star than they are on other sites. They usually throw in a free rental car with a weekly rental but it still doesn't make up for the difference in price. Good Luck.

I find it disturbing you say you don't get answers from owners especially in todays rental market - but there may be a reason other than they just aren't bothering to answer you -it may be a problem with your e mail for example -many isp s -especially UK based ones don't lke AOL for example and others have introduced a built in spam filter but not informed their customers -mine did that and it wasn't until I realised I hadn't got an e mail I was expecting that I checked with them and altered it.There is so much spam around these days that the companies are bringing it in to protect their customers.

Another thing that happens quite a lot and that is -believe it or not -the e mail address is wrong -not saying that you don't know your e mail -but there are a lot of people out there who don't seem to .
Have you tried the ones usually recommended on here -although not sure if they will all do what you want and allow you to book online -good luck with the search.

For our upcoming trip I used the Windsor Hills rental website, rather than VRBO. I plugged in the size home and dates of our visit and was overwhelmed with responses. (www.windsorhillsrent.com)

Of course this site is only for that development but I think Emerald Island and Winsor Palms have the same thing.

I too am surprised to hear of your lack of responses....I found it hard to get back to everyone that replied to me because I received so many. I also had a few that were filtered out as spam incorrectly.

We've also used www.villadirect.com multiple times. You might try them. Another big thumbs up for allstarvacationhomes.com as well. They're a bit more expensive, but their houses are the best.

Thanks to all! I booked today using windsorhillsrent.com and I am sooooo excited! We got a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit with views of the fireworks! It came to $783.00 for everything for 7 nights. I thought about getting a pool home, but we have an inground pool at home, so I'd rather use the money on something else! Thank you all so much for your help!

Most villa owners,myself included alwys respond very quickly to enquiries if we have availability.There are many lovely pool homes to choose from,so the competition is strong,

Was posting to recommend AWARD POOL HOMES but then I saw you already booked. Hope you have a great trip!

Not sure what you meant about the pool homes costing more though...I'm getting a 4 bedroom 2 bath for around $1000 for 10 nights.
