Has anyone ever uses a vacation rental? I have a large party of 13.5 and would need a 6 or 7 bed roomer. how much do the cost and are they as nice as they look?

I have used one several times. If you do a search here you will find many many answers to this question. I will send you a pm with info on the home we stay at. My suggestion is to ask questions and figure out what you will need as you begin your search to eliminate what you don't want. E.g. Must have jacuzzi and pool---some homes don't have jacuzzi's. HTH and good luck! :sunny:

There is a lot of great info on this on our forum. Just do a search- and you'll probably get more reading material than you thought.

Here's a few basic tips:

Know where you want to stay. Some of the pool home communities are a 5 minute drive while others can be a solid 20 or so minutes. Of course the closer you are the more you'll pay for location. Also, then decide what features are must have's: things like private pool, game room, # of bathrooms. There will be 100's of homes- and this will help weed some of them out.

The last thing before starting your search would be to decide if you want to go w/ a mang. company our direct from the owners. Personally, I like to go direct, and it does seem to be the more popular route here. Mostly because it can save you 20-50%. Some good sites to start looking at would be:
www.vrbo.com
www.onlinefloridavillas.com
www.orlandovillas.com

Those are just a few. There are some rental companies like Families First (this one might be iffy because they've had some bad press awhile back) and AllStar Vacation Rentals.
