Vacation from our Vacation

I booked our trip to Disney a couple of months ago, with non-refundable flights (I'm only throwing that in there so that you know that rescheduling is not an option). Well, I recently found out that I won a free trip to Las Vegas and the dates were booked by the radio station that I won it from as concert tickets were a part of the package (Free flights, hotel, concert, and $200 in spending money). The funny thing is we fly back from Disney on March 1, then fly out to Las Vegas March 4!

I keep going back and forth trying to figure out if I should budget to have the entire Disney trip pre-paid or if I should have all the Las Vegas spending money in hand. I am afraid that I will become so stingy in Vegas because of all the money we are spending at Disney. I still want to have fun on my free trip. Any tips on saving up?

I took two trips this summer flying in from Orlando on a Tuesday night and flying to Michigan early the next morning. With two full days inbetween you'll have plenty of time to do laundry and repack.

As for spending money..... just don't buy much at Disney (you've been there before, right?) and save up what you would have spent to use in Vegas (a new destination, right?)

That's good to know that it can be done with the laundry and repacking. My mom will be flying in to watch the kids (We don't live near family) and take them to school and stuff, so she will be a huge help.

My kids know that they are only getting one small souvenir at Disney, but I think I will have to constantly reminding my husband as he thinks he needs to have every single thing that says "Star Wars" on it. lol
