Vacation for just the two of us.....

Ok....I know I posted about this before but now im down to which of these options is the best for a mom and dad getaway w/o the rugrats. Opinions and thoughts are appreciated and budget ideas to get the best value is why I am posting in this forum!

1.) Long weekend at a B&B in GA for a murder mystery weekend
2.) 3nights 4 days at DL
3.) 3-4 day cruise with carnival to carribean

which would you choose and whats the least expensive way of achieving my goal! I have never been on a cruise, to DL or done a murder mystery weekend so I have no definite opinion on any of these.

I would pick the cruise, but I have never been on one and would really like to do that one day. There always seems to be cruise specials on Travelzoo.

I would either do the cruise or DL, but that is me. I know what we like & don't like and a murder mystery weekend involves lots of interaction with other people we wouldn't know so that would not appeal to me.

For our weekends alone I would rather be alone--spending time with each other & doing fun things as a couple. Is that what you are looking for?

Another note-depending on the cruise line you might be dining with others, but can usually request to dine alone if you prefer just each other's company/

Don't get me wrong, we're not hermits or anything, just prefer to spend time as a couple when we have a weekend alone!

I would pick Disneyland, cruise would be my second choice.

Those murder mystery things are a crapshoot. I once had to endure a company holiday dinner themed that way. It was so horrible that two hours seemed like a whole weekend. The event planner actually asked the "actors" to stop leave before they were finished (they were already paid), but they wouldn't go. Most of them got drunk.

DH faked illness so that we could escape that hell.

I would do the cruise. Me & DH went on our first cruise last year and left DS at home. I really wasn't sure I would like a cruise, he surprised me with this for my 40th. Birthday gift. I have to say it was the best vacation we have been on, we both enjoyed it so much more then we thought we would. You can do as much or as little as you want. Enjoy!

I'd like to try a cruise, as we've never been, but for the money, we chose Disney, we already have several days left on hopper passes from a previous trip. It was the more affordable thing.
