Vacation Club Guide

Hi all we just became DVC members and we have been having a hard time getting in contact with our guide. She takes forever getting back to us when we have questions regarding our membership. So this morning I called member services and asks to speak to another guide but the representative told me I had to speak to the guide that dealt with my contract. My question is there any way to request a new guide if we are unhappy with our current one?

Member Services cannot help you with Guide reassignment. You will need to call the Sales Center at 1-800-800-9100, ask for a supervisor and then ask for a new Guide.

I would say if you have questions about using your membership though, you would be better off talking to Member Services than trying to get answers from your guide. The guides are really just there for sales and they are not truly the experts on the day-to-day membership items like MS is.

Hi
We took our initial tour like 6 years ago. We have talked with that rep again but think he, kinda gave me the impression that we were window shopping. He showed lack of interest. I asked talk someone else and had no problems doing so. In fact now I'm in different situation then back then and ready to buy.
The fellow im dealing with now even called me back from "working " on alaska cruise , disney ship. He is really good and easy to talk with . Even if I do not buy directly thru disney and end up with resale . He has taken time and very nice. Call up and ask for someone else, or call the dvc stores in long island or chicago. look up numbers on google if u get no where .
Good luck

If your questions do not involve making another purchase, your Guide is probably not the person to speak to.

What are you questions, maybe we can help or point you in the right direction to get help from Disney.

Have you signed the contract papers yet. The discount should be shown in your final price calculations. If you haven't signed yet, make sure you don't until it is taken care of.

If you have and it was less than 10 days ago, you can resind your contract by notifiying DVC in writing. This will get your guide's attention.

Hi thanks everyone for responding to my thread my question was concerning the refer a friend incentive, when we signed up for DVC we mentioned the person who referred us but later found out that the guide didn't give the referrer the credit. We informed the guide through emails and voice messages about this matter but it is hard to get in contact with our guide.I suppose she is busy so I will wait awhile and see what happens..

Thanks again for your help..

Your friend who did not receive the credit should call the team at member administration who handles the Share The Magic program. MS can get you the number.

The program has limitations by various state laws, so you will want to check on that. Plus, the process takes literally months at times. She will need to call her Guide, too and they can check to see if it is in process. Also, if you had any contact with DVC prior to the time when you gave the referral name, that may void it. This depends on the particular situations. Some folks actually find out they may have mentioned someone else during a prior DVC conversation, and subsequent changes to the referring person cannot be done.
