Vacation Club Golf Membership

I am going to WDW in December and am planning on playing a round. Do I need to purchase the DVC golf membership before I make reservations, or do I just pay for it at the clubhouse before we tee off?

I want to make sure there aren't any problems.

You can purchase the DVC Golf Membership the day you are going to play, and you can book your tee times now. The membership will be good from one year from date of purchase. They will adjust the price accordingly when you get there.
Rates are 25% off the resort guest rate before 10am and 40% off 10am or later.
Which for Dec should be $81.75 and $65.40 plus tax.
Discounts can not be applied to the 2 round special rate.

Just to be clear, though, you don't need the membership just to play a round or two. The membership is really only worthwhile if you're going to play more than a couple of years within the one year time frame referenced above. Otherwise, it's not cost effective at all.
