I have decided to make "vacation baskets" for my 3 chlidren for the morning we leave for DW. I have a few ideas of what to put in the baskets, but does anyone else have any suggestions? Here is a list of what I am going to put:

1.DS 8: Disney Video (to watch en route to airport - 2 hr drive), DW 1st trip pin, Epcot passport book, snacks

2. DD 2: Minnie Mouse plush doll , DW 1st trip pin, Epcot passport book, snacks

3. DS 9mo: Mickey Mouse plush doll, DW 1st trip pin

ANY Suggestions would be appreciated!!:worship:

Thanks,

Rain ponchos for the group!
Sunscreen
Disney toys (can be found at the Dollar Tree... last week they had spinning tops, paddle balls, jump ropes, coloring books)
Coloring books and colored pencils, crayons
hats

Great ideas!! :thumbsup2
I really like the hat idea - anyone know where I could get a couple of "mickey mouse ears" hats?

Oh, oh!
I forgot.. glow sticks or glow necklaces for those late night waiting on the parades/fireworks

misting water fan (cheaper to buy at home than away!)
or even a little battery operated mini-fan that they can carry with them!

I'd like to suggest from expereince, DO NOT LEAVE CRAYONS IN THE CAR, IN THE SUN, IN THE HEAT.......

I'd recommend colored pencils. ;-)

snacks in small snack size baggies
a juice box
stickers
sunscreen
glow necklaces or bracelets
wallets for the older kids - maybe some disney bucks inside
sunglasses
sun hats
small waist packs
a disney sippy cup for the little one
disney pez dispensers -- I've seen them at the grocery for about $1

Did anyone say tour guide &/or autograph book?
Disney crocs
Disney Dollars!
Enjoy!:)

"special" toys for the flight. Something a little more interactive than dolls to keep them quiet en route. The Disney for kids book is great for kids that can read. Disney pop up books for the little one. Something new and shiny for the baby to chew on. You can also do special shirts that say "my first trip to Disney or something". (Cheap shirts and puff paint work wonders.) Disney coloring books are always a good idea (I like the crayon tip, so make sure they get on the plane with you and are not left in the car!)

WOW!!! Great ideas everyone! I love all of them! The only problem now, is that I think my baskets aren't gonna be big enough.:lmao:

One question though - what are "disney dollars"? Sounds like something I might also want to add (if I knew what they were)

Thanks,

Disney Dollars are cash with the dis characters on them, literally. It is paper money that can be used anywhere in Disney. They have a 1 to 1 ratio with regular American money, so if you spend $20 you get $20 worth of Disney dollars. They are very cute, but you may only want to spend a little on them since it gets annoying carrying too much cash (in any form) in the parks.
