So I started another post, but it took a different turn. Hopefully this one will be more on track

I am getting so excited; I am going down to Disney in less then a month. I keep getting excited. Watching the weather, checking the posting’s here, checking what time the parks open, looking at where we might go to eat. All the fun…

Anyone else get Vacation Fever?:cool1:

ADR's are made, hotels are booked, airline tickets are purchased, ME is set up, started to make lists. 92 days to go...............:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Plane tickets purchased, ME set up, ADRs made with 99 days to go!!
Still looking for air for 12/08, but MVMCP tix are being bought on Thurs!! Waiting for the 180 day to make ADRs!!

I'm leaving Thursday/Friday around 12m!!! I'll be in Orlando around 6pm on Friday and checking in at "home" Saturday am!!!!!! I'm literally sick with excitement, have no idea why I'm not finished ALL the things I have to do yet, and my DH has brought every Disney movie we own to our bedroom so we can fall asleep to Disney for the next few days!!!!!! Excited - YES!! :cheer2:

My husband thinks I should belong to some sort of support group because of the vacation excitement that I get!! I'm 34 days away from 8 days at BWV and here's my status:

1) all ressies are done
2) Disney themed count down chain made and being slowly destroyed one day at a time
3) surprise Disney items for the kiddos have been purchased and are stashed
4) 1 of 6 Disney days (a weekend afternoon of a disney movie, a meal, dessert, and activity based around it) done.....5 more to go
5) Plans while at WDW are all made (thanks Tour Guide Mike)
6) PPP tickets are purchased and waiting for us to pick them up the night of June 6th
7) kiddos and I have pulled out the Disney scrapbooks and have been looking through them every few days

The list goes on and on and on..........like I said, my husband thinks I need help:

"Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm a Disney-holic"

Anyone else out there that can relate?? Or perhaps share some super creative idea for a mommy and her little kids to do while patiently waiting for June 2nd to come???

We leave this coming Sunday (5/4) and have had a countdown on our calendar since our 'number of days to go' was in the 60's! Every day we check the Orlando weather in the newspaper (not sure why that matters this week but we still check it). We've had all of our ADR's made since the 180 day mark and we've been checking all the restaurant reviews/reports to see what we'll be ordering next week -- they may not even need to give us menus, we've got many of them memorized ;) (just kidding). We are taking my mother and my aunt with us so we want to make sure they have fun (how could they not?) Just looking forward to landing at MCO for the vacation to begin!

Oh, I can so relate to the excitement!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I scoured the Internet so I could have four different widgets showing me how many days to go until our next vacations. Let's see, there is one that says 60 days to Saratoga Springs, 130 days to Animal Kingdom, 179 days back to Saratoga (girlfriends gathering), and finally 8 months to Animal Kingdom for the big family reunion.

Oh, my - 60 days seems so far off, especially since I am ready to go right now. I think all of the plans are made - just the final packing to do!

I do understand all of you!!

Deb

Oh I wish my vacation was close in the way yours is. If you look at my ticker it shows how long it has been since vacation. As much as I love planning I wish it wasn't 11 months away

At least I am not alone. Counting and looking, like someone said above.. I keep looking at the menu's as well.

I have been to Disney 3 times before... so I still consider myself a newbie... Even with this trip coming up, I ordered the free disney vacation guide DVD.... Although sorry Disney, I ordered it with my dogs name... so I know if I get a call.. it is not for me.

YES, I love Disney and my dh just told our daughter that if we move this year we would go to Disny again.....well we are moving and I am soooo excited. I am more of a kid whne it comes to Disney than our 7 year old!

Oh, I am so with you on the disney-aholic problem:rotfl:
We leave on May 24th for two weeks at WDW, and my DH thinks my laptop is permanently attached to my hands with "DISboards" at the top of the screen. I can't help from scouring the DIS hoping I'll find another tidbit, or just see how everyone else is planning or reporting. Can't wait until I can do my 'tomorrow I'm leaving' happy dance:cool1: . Have fun counting down everyone!

OMG, are we sooooo ready! Just a month now...had our trip planned for over a year, haven't gone since Feb.'06, bought DVC last month, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Yes, it's an illness...but thank goodness for places like the DIS where we can come for group therapy!

The anticipation extends the value of the vacation for me. And sometimes, I think the anticipation can be as good or even better than the trip - you can sleep in your own bed, there's no need to pack, and as you plan the trip, everything (in your mind, at least) goes perfectly. No rain, crowded attractions, tired children or rooms without a view. I guess I have a good imagination.

Do not worry.... I also imagine you not at the parks... or anyone else for that matter.... No need for fastpass in my dreams... I just walk right up to Soarin, Thunder Mountain, and all the other rides.
