VA LHR to LAX

Can any1 tell me if the economy seating on these flights is 2 seats by a window or 3 seats.
Am travelling with dh next yr to LA & we don't really want some1 seated next to us so am not sure if we ll need to upgrade to premium to get 2 seats alone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We flew this route last October, and as far as I remember economy was 3-4-3 across.

It depends on the plane - I think they're using A340-600's for that route now, which, in economy is 2-4-2, except near the back where it's 2-3-2.
If you get a 747-400 then it''ll be 3-4-3.

We flew back about 10 days ago, and its 2 4 2 like PP said and futher back its 2 3 2

Flew that route last year and it was an A340 plane so 2 seats by the windows

yup when we flew it, which admittedly is a while back now, it was always 2-4-2 narrowing to 2-3-2 at the back - we got that configuration on all 3 of our trips
