V&A Question

I thought I read somewhere when you have a reservation at Victoria & Alberts that they call you a few days prior to verify the reservation and the correct spelling of everyone's name.

Is this true? I have a reservation for Friday 9/30 and have not received a call.

When we ate there we had to call them a couple days in advance, not the other way around.

I'd say you should probably expect a call either today or tomorrow. We got ours the afternoon of 9/13 and we had our reservation for 9/15. I must say it was quite possibly the best meal of my life. Only competition being the previous time I'd eaten there and Jiko's.

I know that they called us, but I think that was due to my DH's lactose intolerance. They customized his menu and everything! But don't give it a second thought if you're thinking of calling them. They were very nice and easy to deal with. Call and double check your ressie if you're concerned.

Oh, and have a wonderful time! We can't wait to go back!!!

I will have to say, I'm not looking forward to V&As. This is something my wife has wanted to do for a long time, so I made the reservation for our 15th wedding anniversary.

I am the biggest meat & potatos guy you will ever meet. I'm thinking to food is going to be to Fu-Fu for me. Of course we are staying at the boardwalk, so I can always stop by the ESPN club for some Buffalo Wings on the way home

If I don't get the call today, I will call tomorrow morning.

Mister Incredible, go in with an open mind, you may be shocked at what you find! It truly is a wonderful dining experience, and the items they pair together really work well. They have been serving Australian Kobe beef lately, for a surcharge, that is just so good, and the way they prepare it is wonderful.

As far as getting a confirmation call, the last time I visited, I didn't get one prior to my trip, but when I checked in at my resort, there was a message waiting for me to call them back to confirm my reservation.
