V+A Chefs table....

Please could someone clarify how far in advance I now need to call to get reservations for the chefs table? Is it the same time frame for a normal table in case I don't get it?!! It's my husband's birthday, does anyone know if they'll do something special?

The Chef's Table is 180 days out and the main dining room is 90 days out. Make sure you call right at 7am, it goes quickly. I was unable to book it for our trip so we are eating in the dining room. I don't have an answer to the birthday question, except that there isn't anything more special than dining at the Chef's table!

My DH actually proposed at V&A's back in 1997! I'm sure that he told them in advance about what he was going to do. They brought out a little cake that said "Congratulations" on it after the dessert. I would just mention it when you make the reservations, and ask if they can do anything special. Good luck booking the Chef's Table. I hear that it is a wonderful experience. But if you are not able to get reservations, the main dining room is lovely!
