V & A Chef's Table

Do people dress up even more for the Chef's table? My husband and I have reservations for the CT and want to make sure that we are dressed as nice as the people who would be with us - although we hate to dress up (oh well)
Any info anyone has with their experiences would definitely be appreciated!!

We've only dined at the Chef's Table once and we dressed the same way we do for the main room. For us these days that means a dressy pantsuit for me and a jacket with nice slacks for my husband...no tie for him usually.

If by dressing like the people you'll be dining with you mean friends or relatives joining you, why don't you exchange ideas? If you mean strangers....don't worry it is only your party at the Chef's Table.

It is just my husband and me in our party. So, does that mean they won't fill the table with others? I don't know what to think about that...it kind of gives me the creeps to think of just the two of us in the kitchen! I hope they have some other people in there...

It will be just the two of you. Personally, I loved this.

You're not out in the middle of the kitchen but off to the side...or more like the back actually...in an alcove. The chef comes by to visit with you about your likes and dislikes, you have a toast with him, some of the sous chefs drop by during the meal and of course your Victoria and Albert are in and out so you won't be lonely.

Oh my!
I am freaking out now..I'm not sure why that is so weird to me! I just automatically assumed that they would "fill" the table with other people.
I definitely will not cancel because I can't wait to experience it!

No need to dress any differently than you might for the main dining room.
And you certainly won't be lonely!! In fact, many of the Chef's back there appreciate some "inquiry" as to what they are preparing and how they are doing it.
