Can anyone provide some feedback on the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's? I know it's pricey, but is it worth it? We are looking for an anniversary celebration idea!

My husband and I did the Chef's Table for our 15th anniversary. It was all the more expensive because we had to put three kids in the Neverland Club, but we were so glad we did it.

I would say you have to really enjoy all sorts of food and we are pretty adventurous. We just sat back and let them bring us whatever they chose. It would not be as good for someone who had a big list of foods they refused to eat, in my opinion. I tried caviar for the first time and liked it. That alone, not to mention the extra food, made up the difference in price between the Chef's table and the regular dining room.

We thought it was worth it...we did the chefs table for hubbys birthday...we had it all to ourselves that night.

Definately great for a special celebration.

We do the chef's table every year - it is definitely worth it. You always get the table to yourselves - it seats 2 to 10 people depending on how many are in your party. You must call 6 months out at 0700 in order to reserve it (you might get lucky if you called later- but I wouldn't count on it). The table is in an alcove behind the kitchen- the chef will come out to talk to you and get your dining preferences (now is the time to tell him what you really like (caviar?) or really don't like (caviar?) so he can base your meal on your preferences. You will then have a champagne toast with him. As each course is served - the chef or one of the under-chefs who prepared it will come out and describe your course to you. You get all the same courses as those seated in the dining room- although some of the entrees we have rec'd in the past have been a combo of 2 different entrees served in the dining room. My husband and I usually get different stuff (from the appetizers, soup, entrees) which is fun- because we can taste each other's foods. We always get to split 3 desserts too! GO HUNGRY, and plan on spending at least 3 hours. Have the coffee- they serve it in a Cona coffee maker- which is something you don't see very often. Have the wine pairings if you like wine- they do an excellent job of matching the wines to your food. Yummy! Jill

It was well worth it the time we did it. An anniversary would make it even more special.

Thanks all! It sounds great! Calling by 7:00 to make a reservation shouldn't be a problem, as we are on the east coast and we have a little on who gets us up early! We will only be a party of 2, but we wouldn't mind sharing the table. We love to meet and talk to new people. Last time we went to WDW, we had a blast meeting people at our table at Teppanyaki!
