I read on another site that a minimum of two people is required for dining at the chef's table at Victoria and Albert's. I had never heard that before, and was wondering if that's true, or if the information I read was just incorrect. I've been playing around with the idea of trying to book it for next year's trip, and was wondering if I would be allowed to solo?

when we booked it last time we were told a minimum of two guests and a maximum of twelve.

You can request the chef's tasting menu in the main dining room so that could work for the solo travelers.

Thanks Brenda. Guess I'll be eating in the regular dining room if I decide to go. Not sure if I want to do a three hour meal solo though. But with the TIW discount, it would be a really good price for a meal like that.

TiW is great for the dining room menu ... and as DIS_Yoda posted, you can request the CT menu in the dining room if you do so when you make your reservation. BUT ... the TiW discount will not apply to the CT menu whether you're in the kitchen or the dining room (unless they've changed their policy on that).

Chef's Table Dinner at Victoria & Albert's seats only one party per evening at 6:00 p.m. Table size can accommodate up to 10 people, but reservations can be made for parties as small as 2. Reservations are required and can be made up to 90 days in advance.

This is from the Disney website. I think what they mean is the minimum number of people that they will do it for is 2. You could be alone and you could be dining with 9 others - not necessarily anyone you know. It doesn't have to be a group of people who are "together". Sort of like Teppen Edo which has 8 seats around the grill - you don't have to be a "party of 8" to eat there. They seat you with other people and you make new friends.

They do not seat you with other people. It is one reservation for one party on the evenings that it is offered. So you can have a party as small as two and the CT is yours or you can have a party of ten but you will not be seated with other people - it's nothing like the seating at Teppan Edo.
