I’ve been looking through recent threads and a sticky, but have not found my exact answer. I know I did this before… Where I bought Undercover Tourist tickets and then changed it over to an annual pass. But I’ve been so many times, I can’t remember the details of each situation. Do I have to enter one of the parks first before changing it over to an annual pass? I’m thinking that had something to do with the free dining discount and not a UT ticket. Also, is UT still the best way to go for Disney World AP (buying the 10 day first)? A lot of the posts I am pulling up are talking about Disneyland with UT. I need to double check how much it would actually be saving with this, but I think you can only schedule 10 days out for fast passes even if you bought the annual pass right off. We will be there for two weeks. Thank you!

1. OK.
2. Nope. However, you CAN do so.
In fact, if you enter a park before upgrading, the option to upgrade to AP should automatically appear in your MDX account (at the correct price.)
3. Not the case.
4. Any tickets bought from authorized WDW ticket resellers/discounters (UT is one of them) will be fine.
5. You must be looking in the wrong places.
Posts in the forum on which we are now posting are nearly all about WDW.
6. Sorry, but that is not exactly correct.

You need to look at the Sticky Posts (for Tickets and for FP+ FAQ)
always found near the top of this forum.

The info regarding upgrading tickets is found in the "TICKETS & Upgrades - Prices and "How to" sticky, Post #5 and Post #6.

So i did find the price bridging part, but didn’t they use to suggest entrance into the park to “lock in” your savings? I see in the sticky that you don’t have to, but that it might be dependent on who you get as a CM. Also, I realized after I searched I had not clicked specifically into the Disney World forum so I was getting everything, and it kept mentioning different kind of fast passes I hadn’t heard of. I had to Google to realize that they were talking about something Disneyland had. Thank you 😄

1. Yup.
2. Everything can depend on the CM you get... but doing something that is not necessary won't help matters much. (An errant CM might just as easily say that once you start using a ticket, it can't be upgraded. (Hey, stranger things have happened!)
Regardless, things can go smoother if you can just do the upgrade yourself, right inside your MyDisneyExperience account (as I mentioned in my earlier post.)
3. That can certainly make a big difference. ;)
4. Yup. And, many like the DL FP system better!

If only I could have the option to do it now! :-) When I go into the park, and the option comes up in my MDX account to upgrade to the AP, is it someplace obvious where I will see it? Is it under Buy Tickets?

Once you do the update on the computer through one’s account, do you go to a ticket window to get your AP card?

Yes.
(Or any Guest Relations.)

Thank you. Finally pulled the trigger and bought my five tickets this evening. This will be the first time bridging. I’ve appreciated all your help @Robo. Your wealth of knowledge helps so many of us.
