This is our first trip to Disney. I signed up for Mousesavers.com and waited for my link to UT to order the discounted tickets. We are looking at 6 days with no park hopping or waterparks. UT says the price is $10 off gate price but when I go to the Disney site the price is the same as UT tix. Am I missing something? I do know that tax is not included on the Disney tickets and tax and shipping is included for the UT tix.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You save a little with UT. As you mentioned, the tax and s/h built in.

The tax on a 6 day would be around $15. Depending on the size of your family could add up. I don't think there are any places that offer a huge discount.

I believe online with Disney you pay your state's tax, and at the gate you'd pay FL state tax.

You pay Florida state tax on the tickets regardless of where you purchase them. Otherwise, I would go into Delaware where there's no sales tax to buy mine. :)

UT is a little less expensive and the biggest benefit is having tickets in hand when going to the parks.
I have ordered from UT and so has the rest of my family and we have always been very happy. Any discount is a good thing.
I also like that about a year or so ago there was a lady here on the DIS whose husband left her and her kids and she needed $ asap. UT stepped up and gave her a refund even though technically against their policy. I will support a company like that even if the same price (but will always take the discount ;))

check out getting your tickets through the Disney YES program. That is the only place I know of that you can get very discounted tickets. There is a whole thread about the YES program. Basically if you have at least one school age kid you can sign them up for a behind the scenes class at one of the parks. The class last about 3 hours and one parent goes with the child. The class is free and interesting and by signing up for the class you can buy tickets for your entire group for very cheap, like 5 days for 157.00 or 5 days with hopper and water parks fun n more for 197.00. You can get up to 8 days and adding the hopper and water parks is very little. The highest ticket 8 day with both options is only 208.00 there is no tax and no shipping if you choose to pick the tickets up at the ticket window when you arrive. Go to Disneyyesprogram.com and click under individual enrollment and you can see a list of classes and see if one is offered during your stay.

Sorry, I googled Disney yes program, the website is actually disneyyouth.com

We got our tickets from UT and they were great! Fast shipping, great customer service and saved a little money.

When are you going? There is a kids stay and play offer out there where kids tickets are free.

Also, keep in mind that if you buy your tickets from UT you cannot add the dining plan.

On our first trip, I got tickets from UT and did a room only reservation and we paid for food out of pocket. We did lots of character meals and while I saved on the tickets, being able to add the dining plan would have worked better for us.

Have fun!!! :)

Thanks for the help. I did like the things I had heard about UT. I guess there's just a bigger savings with the hopper and more expensive tickets, makes sense. I will check out that youth program, too.

Thanks again. This board has been so helpful... even just sitting reading through old posts. :)
