Hello all. We've always purchased our Disney tickets from Undercover Tourists.

Someone from work gave me the link to USSSA tickets and their 5 Day park hopper with WPF&M is $300 (tax included) plus $23 FedEx ground fee.
They expire on 10/8/2013.

Are these tickets good? Aside from not being able to upgrade these tickets are there any other disadvantages?

To me the bolded part is a red flag.

My friend and her family are leaving next week since their daughter is part of the game. The entire team and their chaperones were given this site to purchase the tickets.

I'm thinking if ur trip is prior to the expiration date then it should be fine, correct? I just haven't heard of this site before.

Yup ... the tickets are fine. They're being issued specifically for the groups participating in the competition, hence the tight expiration.

No upgrades, firm on the expiration.

The tickets sold by the United States Specialty Sports Association are good. The USSSA has had a longstanding relationship with WDW. The tickets fall under what's called the YES program, which is described by Cheshire Figment in the Everything About WDW Tickets sticky thread:

There are special reduced price tickets called "YES", which stands for Youth Educational Series. These are available for preformed groups, usually either school groups or teams participating in events at Disney's Wide World of Sports. These may be base, hopper and/or WPF&M but not No Expire. They are valid only for specific dates. They may be used both by chaperones as well as students/team members. Very often for control purposes the chaperones will hold on to the tickets to effectively prevent the students from leaving the park after entry, so these tickets do not require finger scans.

Another limitation to these tickets, besides having an expiration date and not being able to be upgraded, is that they also can't be added to resort room keys. :)

But it doesn't look like its a site set up just for this competition. Are they YES tickets? If they are USSSA has about a 80% markup on them.

And if they are supposed to have YES tickets why aren't the groups buying them? They are considerably cheaper for multi day tickets. A 3 day YES is maybe $150 or less.

call me :confused3

ETA: OK just saw Brian's post. Are these tickets part of a package? Again they are really high for YES tickets or does the markup pay for other things like the venues? Also why the open link? I tried to buy them and wasn't asked for anything.

Events like USSSA sometimes do advance group ticket purchases and then make the tickets available at a discount to attendees. It gives them a bit more flexibility in package pricing and parameters. Not everyone stays in the "official" hotels, people rent timeshares, etc. It's just another way to handle the tickets -- a group rate that the organization can resell at a rate that helps them also pay for other things.

YES is one variety of Group Sales. The Gate price of a five day hopper with WPF&M is $397.25 including tax.

The real downsides are that the ticket cannot be upgraded or modified in any way, and it does have a solid expiration date. Unofficially, if a person has an unused ticket past it's expiration date there is a possibility that the amount it was originally sold for may be allowed toward the purchase of a new ticket.

My friend got their tickets and its exactly same as MYW tickets from UT with photos on the front. it has bar code at the back back and specifies the dates they are valid for.

My friend said she didnt have to enter any code to buy the tickets so anyone can definitely get it.

Now we're contemplating on getting tickets to Universal for our 11/29 to 12/7 trip. Their Universal tickets doesn't expire until end of year. Their 2day Multi-day PTP looks like the Costco ones except for expiration and it specifically says USSSA instead of Costco.

We got our tickets from USSSA(due to our daughter playing softball) and will be staying on at ASMO from July 29 to August 4. Will we be able to do the EMH with using the tickets?

You get to use EMH if you are staying on site. It has nothing to do with the type of ticket.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone used their USSSA tickets yet? I can't find anything new on this subject. We bought our tickets and will be leaving in a week - just curious and hoping that no one had issues with their tickets.

TIA.

Michelle

We used them last summer with no problems at all. I'm staying onsite this summer and would like to link them to our Magicbands. Has anyone done this?

I know this is old but I was just looking on this website and wondering how they work with FP+ and MBs. Has anyone used them since WDW switched to FP+? Also do their 1 day tickets include MK visits?
Also I noticed that many of them are sold out but some smaller tickets are still available. Do the sold out tickets ever get re-stocked or is it "once they're gone, they're gone"

I'm looking for January and they aren't released yet but I'm thinking we should jump on them once they're available.

I didn't get my tickets through USSSA but I have Y.E.S. tickets through a group - and will be doing a Y.E.S. class as well. To link my tickets, I just needed to put the number that was on the tickets into MDE. And they're in. Easy peasy.

I did hit a snag when I tried to pick FP+ for my MNSSHP tickets - the system didn't work for some reason. But I can't figure out how that would be related to Y.E.S. tickets in anyway. (And a phone call to tech and confusing them too got it overrided. Getting FP+ for my Y.E.S. tickets worked just as any other tickets should).

I don't have a magic band since I'm staying at the Dolphin. But I know I have the option to buy a MB if I want. We'll likely stick to the card tickets though.

I purchased USSSA tix in late June while my stepdaughter was competing in the softball tournament this past July. We bought 2 one day passes to the Disney parks and a 2 day admission to Universal/IOA as well, for all 7 of us in my family. We had no problems syncing all of the passes to our MDE, and the passes worked for Magic Kingdom as well. It was very easy, you just link your tickets online with the numbers on back of each individual card :) I'm not sure how often they re-stock their tickets, but I did notice at the time I went, they did restock the ones that were sold out after awhile. Bc when I originally started researching our trip, the tickets I purchased were originally unavailable, but in June when I went back and ordered them, they were there. just make sure you dbl check the dates you purchase, because these tickets do have a certain time frame they can be used and they expire whether used or not :)

We just got back on Monday and had used the 3 day hopper tickets we got from USSSA with no problems at all. I had linked them to MDE months ago and they were on our magic bands, had no issues getting into parks, using FP+, etc. They worked just like any other ticket except they do have expiration dates and they cannot be upgraded.

Would anyone know when the tickets for January, February time frame might become available?

Anyone know how long it takes to get the tickets by FedEx Ground?
