Is it possible to use someone's else band to ride using FP+?

Basically for Epcot, we don't have a total of 6 that we want to use for the day. I have 3 but my girlfriend only has 2. is it possible for me to book her 3rd FP+ and use her band to ride with?

We did that in march. I booked all 6 of us for thunder mountain but only 3 rode it and then those three changed bands and did it again without a problem

Do the bands actually have your name on? i ordered ours and it asked what name we wanted on them... Just thinking it might look strange if DH uses mine to get an extra fastpass for ToT-no way will he pass for a Julie...:rotfl2:

Our names are in the inside. I think that's more if you got 2 pinks you could tell who was who's.

The name shows on the CM's screen when the band is scanned. Can't imagine that they would be too concerned about it though.

I'm wondering the same thing since at Epcot you can't get FP+ for both Soarin and Test Track. But if we end up with just my DS wanting to ride those, then was wondering if we can seamlessly put one FP on DS band and one on DD band and then switch so my DS can use both.

yes the name shows up. at exp everest the cm called us by name as we walked in. i guess it would only be a problem if the gender wasn't correct

yep, change bands, my husband just developed a neck problem and we are booked for space mountain, all 4 of us, we are just giving our bands to our girls to ride, since this is their favorite ride..we will just try to find a cool space to hang out :rotfl2:

Even if the sex implied by the name doesn't match the sex of the person using it, there are lots of explanations that would require some very non-PC assumptions on the part of the CM. I wouldn't worry about it.

I used my husbands for ToT......no one said anything.
Used my DD's for ToT also.
At Muppets the CM did welcome us by name.

We are doing it/have done it. I don't believe there is any restriction nor would CMs say a thing about it. It's a FP and it's within the time frame.

What if the person whose MB/FP you want to use isn't in the park? For instance, I booked FP's this week for myself and 2 friends, but my friend's are now not coming in until the day after me. Can I use the extra FP's I booked for them myself the first day? Or will they not be "active" since their tickets (they have AP's) were not used to get into the park?

So could DH and DS swap bands with DD and myself? Clearly going from boys to girls.

I don't ride the big rides and my DH uses my band on those rides.

He takes one DD and rides while 2nd DD and I wait. When they get off the ride he takes 2nd DD and my band and rides again.

I have a similar issue at DHS. DD doesn't like ToT, so normally DH and DS go on it while she and I do something else. So I have FP+ for ToT, so DH and DS can ride. I was going to get another FP+ for DD and myself to use during the same time, but there is literally nothing that we are interested in FPing that we either haven't FP'd (Star Tours) or can't FP (because it is Tier 1 and we already have a Tier 1 FP+ at RnR). So I was thinking that maybe DH and DS could use our bands and go a second time. Not sure if this is going to be called out, since they are valid FPs. We used to do this all the time with the paper FPs.

Anyone know? Do they have to be scanned coming into the parks like the tickets?

I can't imagine them caring whether or not the gender is correct. you're both entitled to three, if one of you wants to do 4 and the other one wants to do 2, you're still using the 6 you're entitled to.
The only thing i imagine you can't do is use a FP+ attached to a MB that hasn't been scanned into that park that day.

We switched bands for ToT, so 2 more could use the bands of those who didn't want to ride. It was the only time we did it.

I don't know if this loophole has been closed yet or not. Last I heard it still worked.

I thought I hear that also, but wasn't sure. I believe, but am not certain, that is why you can't use the app for the 4th FP+.
