Using Walmart for grocery delivery and delivery questions?

We will be going 11/3-11/12 and staying at CSR (standard). Our flight lands around 9 pm and we will have a private driver to the resort so hoping to arrive by 10-10:30 pm if we are lucky.

I would like to place an order for some water and breakfast items. I don't know who to order from. Amazon Fresh, Walmart, Garden Grocer, Instacart?

Right now I have my cart filled up on Walmart since they seem to have a better selection than Amazon Fresh. I'm comfortable with Amazon Fresh and Walmart since I use Amazon all of the time and have used Walmart grocery delivery for previous vacations. I've never used Garden Grocery or Instacart.

Question is can I have it delivered earlier since we land so late? I was thinking of a 6 pm or so delivery. Has anyone else used Walmart or another company that they found great?

I used WalMart during our trip in August and it worked great. Our items were left with bell services and we just went and picked them up several hours after they were delivered. We have also used Garden Grocer in the past. Their service is wonderful, but their prices are REALLY high! I have also used Amazon and they were good as well. Bell services will hold your items for you (they even refrigerate them) and you have to go pick them up.

I checked Garden Grocer right after I posted this and everything is at least double the price as Walmart or Amazon. I used Amazon for our last trip and it worked well but the selections for what we want aren't the greatest. Good to hear Walmart worked well! We will most likely go with them.

I always use Walmart, they store it and bring it up. Leave clear instructions for the driver, because they might not understand what you want them to do. You have to meet the driver to show your ID for alcohol, so I've done that mostly lately. Just load up a stroller and take it myself.

No, we didn't have any issues. But now that you mention it, the bags were really flimsy!

Good to know, We have ordered several times but always met them. But it's nicer to not have to wait for them. Or wait until 7 pm just incase you don't have a room yet. (talking DVC).

We use Walmart and will be using them again in November. We've never had an issue with the order not being held at Bell Services due to their bags. As a previous response stated, if your order contains alcohol you need to be present during the delivery. Otherwise, order whenever you want and they will hold it for you.

I used Walmart many times and it worked out well, except for the time i ordered wine and they could not deliver unless i went downstairs with my ID. Understandable (i guess) but i was bathing my son and could not just run out. Anyway, i digress.... the service is great. Reserve your way in advance so you can get an early delivery. Afternoon deliveries have low stock and you may not get what you want. I personally always pick an early slot. I also don't like to give consent to swap out items without my permission (i've ended up with very interesting items) so i come to terms with not receiving at all.
BTW, i've used other services and will stick with Walmart b/c they are the easiest and most reliable, in my opinion.

Thanks for the tip! Once my window opens I will set up a morning delivery. Looks like I will be able to book 6 days out.

I used the one the app defaulted to as being closest to CSR. I believe it was the one on 550 US Highway 27 in Clermont.

We just used Walmart at SSR and they stored our groceries for us before we had arrived. I did call ahead of time to let them know and they told me bell services would handle it.

Can you have a delivery time before you check into the resort on the day you arrive? Like will they know that you're checking in later? I'd love to have it waiting there at check-in.

We arrived around 9:30 pm and had our order delivered at 9 am. Someone gave me the tip and said your items are more likely to be in stock early in the day. Everything went well. My order was there waiting for me when I picked it up.
