So... I know there is no firm info on this yet. But I'm going to be China at the exact time I would need to book this ...should dinner of some kind of viewing option become available.

So, how do vacation planning go about booking you for similar events, like Fantasmic? We 've always done this ourselves , chiefly because we thought you had to have booked your trip through them to be eligible for their services(and they aren't always the most price competitive.) But this time round we are booking through them, so....I want to try it.

I have been meaning to ring them direct and and ask, but most days I don't think of it till our afternoon (and then they're closed.) So your experiences would really help.

Same boat here. Never used them before. Will be in Europe when I need to make Fantasmic and possibly WOC reservations.

What I understand and am planning to do is 2 months before our trip I will call them and tell them the dining reservations I want and for which days and times. Then, on the days they can be made they do it for you.

You don't need to book through them, I don't think. If you are staying onsite they will do this for you. We had them get our Fantasmic Dessert tickets and it was really easy with no problems. I'll do the same when/if WOC has a premium offer. I just called them and told then what day and show I wanted.

Well hydroguy it was your earlier post that cued me into this cunning plan... Thanks !

I'm going to give them a call after May 11, which is when they say packages will be available from for WOC, to see what kind of deadline they are using. I'll post any info.

thanks to you nunzia too...feel slightly more confident about doing this remotely now!

Well if WoC does in fact have them, from all the complaining and anxiety people are mentioning they may go quick.

Which is why I have this suggestion if you will be overseas. Let a relative you can trust have your infomation and make the call for you.

I use them probably every trip that we take and love it!! Vacation planning is different than WDTC so you don't book your trip with vacation planning. VP is open to anyone staying at the DLR hotels - doesn't matter how you booked - AAA, expedia, etc. To have them book Fantasmic! and WoC priority seating once it is announced, you would just need to give them the dates and times you want and a credit card to charge it to. I think the general email is vacationplanning@disneyonline.com, or call 714-300-7526 (option 2). Even if the office is closed when you think of it, call and leave a message and they will call you back the next day.

I just sent an email on Friday detailing all the dining ressies we want and the night we want F!. I also said I was going to be wanting WoC when it is announced.

IMHO, Vacation Planning is one of the best perks of staying onsite! Once all your PS's, F! and WoC are done, you get a nice printed itinerary so everything is all in one place. You can also get your F! tickets at the front desk when you check into the hotel instead of having to go to guest services, which can definitely be a time saver - I assume this will also be true if tickets are need for WoC.

I don't think they could possibly say this, but I woudln't be surprised if the VP people maybe are first in line when the phones open..(I once called over and over, starting when the the phones weren't open, then got in immediately after they opened, and there were not 4 seats available for the Fantasmic dessert thing when it was still on the Balcony...just saying )

Ok now you are making me very happy! :goodvibes

Thinking WOc, maybe F! and , if they have it, the Happy haunts tour.

So they'll be busy!

BTW would love to do this but don't have many relatives prepared to get up at 3.00am (our time) to do this kid of thing!:rotfl2:

One final question....how many days out do Vacation planning accpet requests? Same as for direct bookings?

You can do the requests anytime and they will keep track of the correct day to call. I game them my F! request now even though it is not for 45 days but they will call at 30 days for me.

Personally, if I were staying at one of the onsite hotels I would use Vacation Planning to make my reservations for me. I used to work for Dreams Unlimited, and it's easier for VP to make reservations than a travel agent when it comes to using your credit card information.

I've only heard of one time they didn't come through... and that's once in many years.

Great! Thanks for your help everyone...particularly liked the detail about not having to head to guest services.

Now all I need is just a sprinkle of official scheduling, and we're set!

Do you email them your credit card information with your request? I'd really like to get WOC dinner/seating/whatever they've got for any night between June 12-15, but I'm not sure if I should email them that now, since it hasn't been announced? :confused3

While I email them all my requests, I call them with my CC number. I don't think it is a good idea to ever email cc numbers. They have my requests already for 6/20 - 6/24. I mentioned in my email that I will be wanting to do WoC seating when announced so will contact them when details become available.

Re WOC: They advised me to contact them May 11, when the packages woudl be announced

So what do you think the package will entail? I am still holding out for GCV show passes.

I don't know much about how the dining package at WDW works for their F! but that would be nice since I assume/hope it would include Wine Country Trattoria and that is where we want to eat on 6/20!!

But I am like you and would be ecstatic with VGC showpasses!!!:yay:
