Using unused older tkts

Does anyone have any experience with this before I call Disney?

I have a childs 4 day "All Three Park Passport" which was purchased in the early 90's. Three days were unused.
A couple of questions:
- I know that I can trade it in for a 4 day PHP at Customer Service when we arrive and they will void one day of it, however it states on the back that it must be used by the same person. Obviously this was a child's ticket who is now an adult. I want to now use it for DD8 - do you think they would have a problem with that? There is no name on the passport (no serial numbers or anything)
- since they only had three parks then, will it be valid to use at AK?
If anyone has any other info/comments on exchanging in older tickets, I'd appreciate it.

If there are any eligable days remaining on it, they will credit the remaining days towards an upgraded pass.
The rest of the quesiton I am going to leave to our ticket guru, Golden Oldie. This person knows their stuff!!!!

We have some experience with this, especially using a "child" ticket, when that child is now an adult. We had one day left on several child's passes (several trips) from the late 80's. Our "children" are now 20 and 23. They used those passes in late May this year by going right to the gate. Here's the rundown on what happened: MK told DS that he had to trade the pass in at Guest Services, since he didn't want to bother, he used this year's pass we'd already bought. MGM-no problem, CM didn't look twice at the pass. Epcot-one time on problem, one time a little hesitation-double take, one time told we need to change pass in order to use FP. However, since DS didn't want to use FP, it was OK. We never tried to use the passes at AK.
Yes, I kind of wondered about how they'd know these passes were being used by the same (once) children-they didn't even sign them back then since they couldn't really write. But for the most part, we didn't have trouble.

You have a pass that does not have the magnetic strip currently used on Disney tickets. You can exchange that passport you have at a Guest Relations window and they will give you back a new magnetic strip ticket with the three remaining park admissions on it. It will be an adult ticket but that won't be a problem. Disney gate CMs will never question a child using an adult admission but as stated in Simba Mom's post, they may very well question an adult using a child's ticket. It will be far less of a hassle for you to do this exchange rather than trying to use the old ticket as is for a now 8 year old.

This new pass will be valid at all four major parks and will work in all Fastpass machines.

As to how they can tell whether it is the same person using it, they can only approximate it. If you trade the ticket in as suggested above, they could read the barcode and know when the ticket was printed and/or they could just read the date stamped on it by the CM or turnstile when it was last used. You said it was early 90's so that would mean the person who used it originally would now be between the ages of 16 and 23. That's the only way they can figure it out and that's also why you would get an adult ticket back from the trade-in.

Incidentally you mentioned exchanging it for a 4 day PHP. You will not get a PHP in return, you will get a straight park hopper ticket with three major park admissions and no plusses.

I am not the guru, but, I do know this answer. Yes, a hopper is just that, it allows hopping between parks. Have a great time!
