Has anyone ever used Uber instead of a taxi and what was your experience with them? We have always used a taxi and it depends on the driver going and coming from the same places the prices vary on the direction the driver goes.

I use uber at home in DC (I haven't in WDW because I always take Magical Express) and I love it. It's more affordable than a cab, it's always been a nicer car, and easier to get. Just use the app and it'll estimate the fare for you before you request the car so you'll know how much you're paying in advance. The estimate has always been accurate for me.

One addition--I don't know if they pick up from MCO. Some airports don't allow non-licensed taxis to pick up but they can drop off.

We use ME from airport, we go to
church on Sunday and have always used a taxi but last year going from the BW it cost us only 12.00 going driver took most direct way but going back to BW 34.00 going the long way we were so upset with the driver we refused to give him a tip and he said that is the way he goes, never again if we do use a taxi again I will tell the driver the way we want him to go. I was not sure about UBER I have heard good & bad about them.

Starts tomm for uberblack. i updated my thread.

Just a suggestion. You may want to post in your thread whenever you add an update or revise the original post. I "watch" the thread just to keep up with info. I occasionally check other threads that have ride share information. But I don't have any notification of the first post in the thread being revised. So I didn't know about it until I stumbled upon this post of yours. Thanks.

Hi, we've just got back, we stayed onsite and used uber on the 3 days going offsite.
Couldn't fault them at all, we got an accurate estimate beforehand and never waited more than 5 mins for a car, all the cars were clean, drivers - some chattier than others but that was fine with us either way.
We paid £13 for 4 of us to go to universal which was the most expensive fare.
Uber is the way forward IMO!!!

We used UBER 2x on our trip last weekend and it was great. No issues whatsoever. We used it once to transfer from POP to BC and the other time to go from BC to WL. I had a code for a free first ride and since I referred DH he got $15 credit on his account.
