We are going to WDW the first week of March 2007 and have the DDP. I was wondering how good of an idea it is to use our TS credits for Character Breakfasts? I have two scheduled with ADR and scheduled them for the last breakfasts of the morning in hopes of using it as more of a brunch and then snacking for lunch and using our CS for dinner. Anyone have any experience with this either good or bad? Thanks!

This is my first trip to WDW since I was a child and I was completely overwhelmed until finding this board! Thanks for all the help!

We are doing this twice ourselves. We scheduled 11:00 ADR both times, which is the latest breakfast you can get. Last year we did an 8:30 breakfast, and were stuffed until 3:00! We ate a snack for lunch, but were not hungry for our dinner ressie at 6:00. I think this year we will enjoy our meal more if we have brunch, and wing dinner.

We did this once on our last trip, and are planning to do it twice on the next one. We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 10:30, skipped lunch, and had dinner at 6:00. It worked out great!!!

We did this when we went. :confused3
We had a late character breakfast at Animal Kingdom (wanting to see Donald). It worked out okay, except it seemed to give us a really late start of the day. It seemed as if we just got to the park when we had to go immediately to the ADR. It really seemed to put us back quite a bit for the day. I think I would recommend a Character Dinner in place of the Character Breakfast. The two Character Dinners we did during the same week really worked out better for us. We planned them for the parks we planned to be in that evening. The extra time eating and interacting with the characters was a welcome break after a day in the parks. And then we still were able to do quite a bit in the parks in the evening. I recommend the Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom. We also did Chef Mickey's dinner. It was great too.

Have fun!:laundy:

When we did this we got to the park when they opened. We were able to ride Space Mountain several times before the line got long then head over to Chef Mickey's.

I would definitely try to get to the park as early as possible.

We (dd 3 & dd 5, & dh) are going in July and are planning on using our TS credits for 2 character breakfast (maybe 3) as well. I tried to book the breakfasts as early as possible to get us up and going early so we can hit the parks early too. We did Donalds Breakfast early last year at AK and although i wasn't so thrilled with the quality of the meal, my kids LOVED it b/c of the characters, and then after we were done it was still early enough that AK just opened so there was no lines on the Safari and on some other rides. So that part I consider to be very "worth it" for us.
