Using TP fax room request for multiple rooms

We will have 3 resort rooms at the Poly all under one reservation. How does the TP fax for room request work with multiple rooms reserved? We are reserving CL (non-DVC) so I don't need to request a specific longhouse if my understanding is correct.

Our priority is that 2 of the rooms are connecting. The third room can be adjacent but this is not a priority. So is there language I should use in my request to TP...such as giving a range of room numbers that are connecting and mention that I have 3 rooms reserved? Our second most important request is that we are ground floor. View does not matter. Help with the language I need to use in my request would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would just 'configure fax' to say you want three connecting rooms on the first floor. The simpler you keep it, the more likely they are to be able to fulfill your request.

I would call Disney reservations and have the request added to my reservation myself. View is a bookable category here, so you will have that reserved anyway. Most likely, you have garden view reserved. If you have TPV reserved, I would change it to Garden view if you want first floor. There would not be many, if any at all, rooms with a Theme park view that are on the ground floor now that the bungalows are in the way.

I would request "two connecting rooms, all three rooms on the ground floor. Please give the two connecting rooms first priority." If there is a medical or other reason for any of the requests, try adding that.

TP will allow you to select a specific room and then will incorporate a range of similar rooms that would work for you. The problem with TP is that some of the information on their website is faulty, so, for example, if you select a set of connecting rooms to request, you may be requesting rooms that do NOT, in fact, connect. In your situation, I am not sure that I would use TP at all. (If you do use TP, I would do as ErinsMommy suggested)

Another thing that you can try is calling the telephone number for the Poly CL and requesting help from them. They used to actually help with pre planning but that has been discontinued as a CL service, I believe. The number at the Poly is (407) 824-2466 (tel) and the fax number is (407) 824-3162.

Good luck!

CL now has "signature services" - its not just for the Poly but a centralized phone number for all club level resort stays. If you check the CL thread, there's a phone number listed on there. =) Good thing about TP is it lets you view which rooms are connecting and you can request by room number as well, but again don't get too specific or hung up on a particular room number. If its connecting and ground floor you seek the most, that's all you should put on there. Good luck!

We had 3 rooms this past September at Beach Club. I sent one TP's room request fax and included my reservation number in the reservation number box and in the note section, I listed the other 2 reservation numbers. We got exactly what we requested. I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't ask for rooms with the connecting door, but our priority was ground floor rooms and we ended up getting the rooms we had chosen on the map. I was worried about doing 1 fax for all 3 rooms but it worked out fine. We'll be doing it again for this September, with 3 rooms.

Oh, forgot to say:

I would call and have the room request added to the reservation right now. I would try calling/faxing IPO at the Poly about a week prior to your arrival day.

Good luck!

OK, I knew that things had changed, but didn't know how it is being handled. I guess I need to go read the CL thread. You could try calling that number. I know, years ago, when I called IPO at the YC they put me into direct contact with the room assigners and they blocked the room that I needed for me so that we were assured to get it. (I called about a week before arrival, IIRC). IDK how the new "signature services" works, but I would still try contacting them to see what they say.

If using TP and making room reservation requests, I would be careful not to put any contradictory requests on the different venues.

Good luck!

Thank you all! I just reserved tonight and asked for all three GV rooms to be linked and marked "Travel With". My stay is not until May 2018. I did ask that two of the rooms are connecting as a request. It doesn't matter as much with the third room. The CM said she would request "connecting" on all three rooms...even though there is no such thing as 3 rooms that connect at Poly. She said I should submit my request for connecting and ground floor at 60 days in advance of reservations. She said those requests are filled in the order received at the 60-day mark...but this conflicts with other info I have read. So ???

I used TP two years ago for 3 rooms at POR....I worded it like.."would like connecting room with (reservation number) and nearby (reservation number). We did get the two rooms connecting and the third not far from us. Even if you call back and add it at 60 days, I would still do the touring plans fax anyway.
