Using tickets before check-in?

This may be answered elsewhere - apologies if so. Never done it this way before, so I am wondering if any of you know if this is possible.

We have a free off-site resort/timeshare that we're going to use for 7 days. Initially, I was just going to buy park tickets through UT for use during those days.

Now, however, I'm thinking of tagging on 2 more nights/days at the end of that stay at an on-site resort. While looking at WDW's website to book those two nights, it is giving me the option of buying 5 or 6 day tickets. Instead of buying tix through UT, I'd rather now just buy the 5 or 6 days worth of tickets when I book the 2 extra nights at the on-site resort.

So my question then becomes, are those tickets valid for the 5 or so days before we check in on-site?

Thanks!

Don't book a package and you will be fine. If you book tickets via a package, then you would have to pick the tickets up ahead of your package and you can't do that 5 days ahead, I think 3 is the most you can do. Buy your resort and tickets separately.

You'd even get a small discount if you buy them through UT like you originally planned.

Unless there is some kind of promotional package that requires a ticket purchase, you would be better off doing room only and buying the tickets through UT.
