We have always stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the parks and were looking at staying at a hotel where we might need to use the ART system.

Can any tell me how the ART system works.

We have 7 people and will be taking 2 strollers with us or a double stroller.

How easy is it to get off and on with strollers??

How often to they run and what is the latest they run???

Thanks for any info.

I would avoid the ART system if you could - especially in the off season. The system stops for almost 2 hours in the afternoon for lunch breaks and there were no signs posted to this at any of the stops. Also - for $3/day, it isn't worth my money. I always stay at the Hilton and it's a great 15 minute walk to the park.

If you have a car - for the number of people in your party, it would be cheaper to drive and pay to park.

Parking is $10 a day now (I was just there yesterday).

The ART is $3/day for adults (10+), or $9/duration of stay. Family pass is $36 for duration of stay. You can compare that to parking in the parking structure to see which would be more cost effective.

Mary Jo: Their (ART) website only shows individual passes with a max of five days for $12.00 -- there's nothing at all about a family pass. Are there other options if you buy them locally from one of the hotels?

I know that when you book through the Walt Disney Travel Company (& Dreams Unlimited & AAA both book through WDTC) your pass is worth your length of stay. I asked Disney, and that is what they told me - so clients staying more than 5 days do not pay more for the ART. The individual passes are $9 each right now, but a family pass is worth the value of 4 adults (10+), so families of 5 or 6 do not pay more. I do not know if there is a limit, but I know that I can book a family of 8 at a couple suite hotels, so I would assume that the ART family pass would be good for that family of 8. Disney has never charged more than that.
