Using table service meals for counter service?

We will be going in Sept with free dining, and this will be our first time with an infant (a very loud infant ), and do not want to disturb an entire restraunt with her crying. Lol. I remember a couple of years ago they were letting people exchange some of their table service credits for counter service credits. I'm not worried about getting the best value out of the dining plan, I really just want to be able to eat in a "relaxed " environment even if it is in the middle of a crowded Disney street where people will pass by my crying colicky baby without the blink of an eye, instead of getting grrr scary eyes from other sit down restraunt diners. Lol. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it!!!

This is what I am hoping for also. My first night we want to trade TS for CS and hang by the pool. I know the last time I used DDP two years ago we could trade one TS for one CS plus one snack. Hope for the same this year!!

using the Chat feature on the website and both times been told I could not substitute CS for TS. I am trying to figure out free dining vs. 40% room code (already booked) for our family of 5 -- two parents, 10 yr old and two 8 yr olds. DSs will not tolerate lengthy sit down meals when they could be riding rides and DH will eat way too much and then not want to walk around in the August heat. I'd do it in a minute if we could substitute CS for TS because it would save us more $ than the 40% code. When do they announce if one can do that? How will I know? If I don't make ADR and then get there and can't get into TS will they let me eat CS? Confused.
