We're going in May and have 2 sons with CP. We plan on using the double stroller in stead of wheelchairs. How do we get the strollers deemed wheelchairs, for accessing lines? Not even sure how it will work. Can we take the double stroller on the train at MK, if its considered a wheelchair? Can we take the double stroller in lines? While my sons can walk, they have low stamina and will fatigue very easily. We got the GAC card last year, which helped, but there were some rides, they had to wait in line and I didn't know if i could take the stroller in the line or not. I want to do all I can to reduce the overwhelm of fatigue.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi; this question is the same one I had to ask before our June trip- yes, they will either give you a special stamp on your GAC, or more likely give you a long red sticker (like they use for luggage on flights) that will stick over your handle. We had a sidebyside double stroller last year and they fit through all of the lines just fine. On the railroad we kept them in the stroller until the train pulled up, they directed us where to go, and then we chose to put the kids in our laps and fold up the stroller. It was no problem. Occasionally CM's wouldn't see the sticker, but once we showed them, it was fine. Just go to guest services first thing on your first day there-it stayed on all of our 10 day trip, so no worries about it falling off. Oh, and yes, it made a huge difference-some of the lines were really long, and being able to wheel them through was a Godsend.
Have a magical trip!!:wizard:

Also check the disABILITIES FAQs thread. There is a section about GACs which should help. People using wheelchairs can stay in the wheelchair for the train. People who are using strollers that fold can fold them and bring them on the trim e (soorry can't delete without deleting whole entry) train even without a Gac. Mott sure if you are using a park double or your own. Park stroll don't go on the train usually because they don't fold. You just pick up another at the station. Park single would fit in the. Wheelchair spot but 8 I' not sure about park doubles.
