We already have our tickets for this Christmas Thanks to a BUMP during Spring Break. My question is in regards to Christmas 2005!

We are planning a huge family gathering for December 2005!

I was surprised to see deals with Southwest during the holiday time. Is this usual? When Southwest releases new dates do they always start with the great deals? Is this year's price similar to what it has been like historically with Southwest during Christmas time?

I know I kept looking during Spring Break and Southwest never did have any GREAT deals for Spring break. In fact Southwest blocked good deals to Florida from mid March until mid April. I am just trying to see what Southwest has been like during the peak holiday travel time.

Any regular Southwest peak times travelers out there that can shed some light?

How are you defining deals? I checked for a trip home for Xmas yesterday, and the best they were offering was $58 better than AA was offering. Either way the r/t was well over $200. I don't consider that an exceptional deal 6 months out.

They have $99 one way fares and with taxes comes to $222 round trip. Now that is a good deal for us! Anything under $230 round trip is a deal especially during peak travel times.
