using someones tickets

Amazing... All I did was state what official WDW policie is and point out that some post contained lies when they said that is was not against policy to share/give away tickets. I don't understand how answering someones question and then defending myself is being nasty. Looks like plenty of people need to read their own post. I've been called silly, nasty etc but there are those here who refuse to see that I've been called names, and I have yet to call anyone a name.

It amazes me the passion that some of these "innocent" posts stir up in people
That is so true, but I think we disagree on who is being passionate here. It requires no passion to state WDW policy, but I think it takes plenty of passion for someone to continue to come up with reason for why the policy doesn't apply to them. I really don't give a rats hind end if someone ignores WDW policy, but at least admit you're ignoring policy instead of coming up with reasons why you are an exception to the policy.

I won't speak for the other posters who made the same points I did, but I am admitting that I'm ignoring the policy. I have no problem with that.

What I am also admitting -- and you are ignoring -- is that DISNEY ALSO IGNORES THE POLICY. That directly contradicts your original advice to the OP, when you said that "Disney is very clear" about the policy and that the OP was taking a chance on having the tickets confiscated and the vacation ruined.

You can pass moral judgements about giving away or selling unusued days. You can equate it to stealing if you like (and you did). What you shouldn't do on these boards is give out false information. The idea that Disney will confiscate tickets if you give them to a family member is FALSE. The truth is:

1. Disney has no way of knowing whether the tickets have been transfered.

2. Disney doesn't care whether the tickets have been transfered.

3. Search these boards or any other boards and you will not find a single credible story of somebody having park hopper passes confiscated because they took unused days from a family member.

4. Tickets are "transfered" all time in all kinds of scenarios, from handing them all to the "keeper of the tickets" to giving them to family members to selling them on eBay.

5. It's the used ticket dealers that Disney wants to stop, and that's why the Florida law is written the way it is written.

the person on the other board is as big a know-it-all as the one one this board...if not bigger!

Not one single post contained a "lie", not one single post contained misinformation. A lot of the posts stated the policy, which is NOT enforced. Misinformation is not a lie, even though your favorite comeback is something along the line of "liar, liar pants on fire". Find the definition of lie and one of misinformation and try to learn the difference.
You may state you don't give a rat's behind what people do, but your posts here certainly paint a different picture.
No one here has come up with any reason why it does not apply to them, they have pretty much stated they are going to do it. No excuse, no rational, just plain and simple "I am going to do it".
Give it up, you are not winning here.

To late! Someone already snagged the nasty poster job.

Yep, they did, but I figured they could be enlightened further by our resident Keeper of the rules.

I have yet to call anyone a name.

That's an awful fine line you draw there...

When you say the following:

"I just thought I was clearing up the lies that were being told to the OP.".....

What would you call the people that were telling these lies? Aren't people who "tell lies", liars? So, in effect, aren't you calling all the people who posted contrary to what you posted liars?

C'mon sha_lyn, anyone who's such a stickler for following the letter of the law certainly ought to have some equally high standards when it comes to telling the truth and admitting responsiblity for what you say. Or does the need to tell the truth and be honest only apply to other people?

You did call names. You called many people on this thread liars. You may have been slick about it, but you still did it.

Whew, I think I'm gonna pop over to RADP where they aren't so nasty.

Easy, folks, easy.
