Hi. I'll be taking my boyfriend to WDW for his first adult trip. He is really not a ride person (or at least doesn't think he is...yet ;)). I'm going to attempt to get him on the bigger rides (EE, TOT, RNR, etc) but I'm not sure what level of success I will have. He hasn't flat out said no.

So my question is, if I book FP+ for both of us and then he chickens out, can I use his band to ride a second time so the FP doesn't go to waste? I wasn't sure if this is considered a big no no or not.

We did it a few weeks ago. We had 5 in our group. I just booked all the FP+ the same. DH and I do not like Splash Mt or Mission Space so our two boys took our bands. Wore theirs the first ride then switched to our two the second ride and had no trouble.

We were thinking of this for our upcoming trip. I wasn't sure if my niece would be able to use my nephews because she's a girl. What about if part of the family decides to stay at the pool one afternoon and the others go into the park. Can we use their fp?

We did this several times in March. DS was too small for most of the thrill rides so DD used the FP on his band to ride a second time. (So she rode once with DH, then once with me)

The CMs didn't mind at all, even when they remembered that she had just ridden and the name that showed up on the screen was clearly a boys :)

I use my husband's band at some point during every visit. No problems at all. You'll be fine!

You can not use the FP+ if the ticket was not used to enter the park. If the person is at the pool and not in the park it can not be done.

Actually we were able to do exactly that with no problems in March, has it changed since then?

yes. I have done it. I made a TOT fast pass + for my 3 year old and used his band for my 2nd ride :thumbsup2

Was the ticket used to enter the park earlier in the day?

Nope, DH had already flown home the day before, and DS stayed at the hotel that morning with his grandparents because he was sick. DD and if were able to use the FPs on their bands to ride both RnRC and ToT. I kind of figured it was a loophole they would close at some point, am curious to know if they had.

Love to know this information. DH flying home on a Friday and we are there until Sunday. Have his FP's booked and ready to be used for the remainder of the trip by my mom who is flying in the day he leaves. We are also using them to re-ride. ;)

Ticket "validation" has not yet been turned on, was told a couple of weeks ago it might be enabled on Sep. 1 but who knows for sure. Once turned on, FP's would not be useable unless the guest enters the park.
