Using Restaurant.com gift cards?

For anyone who's used gift cards from Restaurant.com: If I buy a $50 for Giordano's pizza, for example, can I use it like any other gift card? What I mean is, do I have to use $50 in one shot or can I use it bit by bit until it's gone?

We'll be staying nearby a Giordano's but there's only 3 of us, so we'll just be picking up a pizza & salad once or twice during the week. It won't be anywhere near $50 each trip but that's the best deal for us on restaurant.com.

No, it doesn't work that way. There is generally a minimum purchase amount (for my $25 cert at Kimonos it was a $35 minimum purchase). The discount is applied to that. It's not a gift card with a running balance. But it IS a great deal, IMO.

Agreed....we have used those gift certificates a lot..and its for one time use. We also used the Kimonos one....fabulous!!!

For a $50 certificate you're going to have to dine in and spend $100,they'll also add to your bill an 18% gratuity.Each restaurant has specific guidelines for use,most $25 certificates require a $35 or $50 purchase and at least most of them don't allow take out.The way these work is you print out the coupon and show it to the server as your sat they will then take it and the certificate number is checked by calling to make sure that it's valid,it's not like a gift card,it's a one time use certificate and you're only allowed one certificate per month per restaurant.

I'm glad I asked! I figured it must be something like that because the deals on the $50's were much better than on the $20 certificates.

At least now I know what I should buy.
