First may I say that I am an every year, since 71, sometimes twice, visitor to WDW.
I would "
Never" use my
DVC points for a DL visit.
I went to DL in July for the 2nd time. The 1st time was a business trip to the area and the 2nd a NFFC convention.
The nostalgia of DL was wonderful to see. DTD & DCA were OK (Soarin' ride was great). Guess thats it...I have no desire to go back..its just too small.
I had dessert ressies on the balcony (in Walts old apt) to see Fantasmic which was real neat ..but...the crowds getting in and out were horrible!
Dinner @ Club 33 and Blue Bayou was marvelous
There are many hotels w/suites that border the DL perimeter and most all with jittney busses that run every 20 min or so. Search Aneheim, Garden Grove and the DL site will give you a map of the ...I guess...total 4 block (?) area and adjacent hotels...much cheaper.
And..on site @ DL....IMHO...no way resembles the same magic as staying on site in WDW.
I stayed @ the Marriott Residence Inn which I am familiar with, from my working days. Hot buffet breakfast and jitney to DL included.
Have a Great time in whatever you decide!!
