Using points- call during use year but reservation falls on the next

I just realized we have points that expire this June that aren't banked and I'm passed the banking date.

If we book a trip (I'll call tomorrow) for October can we use the unbanked points or does the vacation have to be taken before they expire?

Once they expire, they are gone. If you did not bank them into your next UY, you will loose them on June 1st, assuming you have a June UY (based on your question).
To use June UY points, you will need to complete your trip on or before May 31.

Can you deposit the points into RCI to save them? You might want to find out.

Can you transfer or rent the points out ???

If its enough points you could call and ask nicely if they could still be banked. Some owners have been granted a 1 time banking exception.
