Hi all,

We're planning a trip beginning the day after Thanksgiving and want to spend Friday night in one of the hotels. We're debating between the Poly, AKL, Yacht Club (for SAB) and maybe Contemporary (Tower). We realize this is a HIGH point night, but based on our set plans and because we just added on points and feel a little generous with ourselves, we want a treat.

Have any of you used your points this way? Which hotels are the best for a family of two parents and a 3 year old? We do plan to get on the waiting list for BCV studio, which is our preference over Yacht Club, but as for the others...we don't know.

Any experiences you all have are very welcome while we debate our options this weekend! We just found out we got VWL from being on the wait list for the remainder of the trip and are REALLY excited! Now we're moving from a cash reservation at WL to something else to try.

Thanks!

(PS - I hope someone out there just got SSR from their waiting list for these dates when we were moved to our first choice - this waiting list actually works! We had our doubts, but Christmastime at VWL, here we come!!)

We will be at WDW the Tues-Fri after Thanksgiving weekend, staying in a SSR studio on Tues and POLY on points for Wed/Thur. We even went with POLY concierge level, but this is a special trip - first time with DW at WDW without any of the kids! A little romantic getaway.

We stayed at BCV last June with our 3 kids and they loved SAB, even our youngest (DD3).

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Any would be fine. Poly and Contemporary are on monorail so if MK is your primary park I would stay there.

We are leaving tomorrow for AKL concierge on points. Actually worked out to no more using the points than it would have cost us on an AP code. We are looking forward to the Sunrise Safari.

If your child is like my three kids - he/she would love AKL. We stayed there last year (not on points) and my DS, who was 3 then, would have been content to stay on the balcony the entire time. We had a Savannah View room and the giraffes would come so close to the balcony. The pool area, though crowded, was great for him too. I'm sure all the resorts you mentioned have their own magic, but I haven't stayed at any of the others. Enjoy VWL - it's our home and we love it!

Thanks for all the advice! We won't be doing the parks until Sunday when everything slows down from Thanksgiving week and DS loves animals so I guess it's AKL for us. And thanks - we can't WAIT to stay at VWL!!!
