I noticed on the point chart on DVC.com that in order to use points to book a room at Disneyland Paris you need to buy a length of stay pass. Can you buy an annual pass rather than the LOS? I'm guessing this isn't a frequently asked question.

Unfortunately, you have to buy the length of stay pass from member services when you book for DLP, you cannot buy an annual pass. I have just made a booking and asked the same thing and was told no way, sorry.

DLP is not very "user friendly" for those on this side of the pond. Even if you decide to pay cash, rather than use points, they require that you buy a length of stay pass for your booking. If you decide to buy annual passes, you cannot do that in the US. I know, we inquired about that for our trip to DLP last May.

In our case, we have a couple of CMs in the family, who got us into the park for free, so we didn't need any passes at all. We were told to call a special CM line, but they were not very helpful. Last December, they told us to call back after the first of the year. We called at the beginning of January, and they told us there were no rooms available at the cast rate.

Finally, we ended up buying some shares of Disneyland Paris stock, and joined their Shareholders Club. We called the special Shareholders Club only number, and were able to book just the rooms we wanted, at a discount. Even with spending the money to buy the stock, we figured we saved almost $1500 by not having to buy length of stay passes for the 8 folks in our party.

Good luck!
