Using Points at AKL and Dining Plan?

Well, it looks like we are within a couple of weeks of making our DVC purchase! I have a trip planned in July for the AKL. Because we will be getting 05 and 06 points I was thinking about using the 05 points at AKL. Can we add the dining plan to AKL even though it isn't a DVC resort? Thanks!

My info says no, that DVC members can't add the plan using points at the DC resorts.

The DVC dining option is apparently only available for point reservations at DVC resorts. You might want to use your points at a DVC resort- they will go farther and you can add the dining plan. (You can still visit AK whenever you'd like - )

Thank you for your help. My sister has her heart set on AKL. I guess that will just mean more points for another trip!

A little work, but you may want to consider: your AKL will cost alot of points. You could rent some points to someone else, use the cash to pay for your stay at AKL & book the dining plan as a cash-paying guest. In my experience, you will save soooo much money using the dining plan that it would be worth the hassle of renting your points & you'll likely end up with more points in the end, particularly if you're going with a standard view.
