Using party-member's MBs?

Ok, I'm gonna level with you guys: I'm trying to "game the system" a little bit. (Please don't hurt me)


DH & I are headed to the parks in a month to meet up with my sister, BIL and the kids. DH and I get to visit the parks a lot, so we're going to let my sister and husband use our FP+ wristbands while we sit some things out. I've read here that this works fine. DH and I are APs and have been able to pre-book FP+ even after checking out of our hotel in Oct, but my sister's family will just be offsite 3-day hopper guests.

I have two questions:
1.) Do kids under 3 NEED FP+ reservations? They aren't staying on property and won't have tickets since they're free admission under 3.
(Basically can I sign DH and myself up for say Mickey M&G then let my sister have our bands while we go hang out on Main Street. I know she and my BIL can get in fine, but can the kids?)

2.) assuming #1 is ok: if, on the second day, my sister and i take the kids back to the hotel for a nap after AK and DH & BIL hop over to Studios an hour or two ahead of us... Can they use my MB to ride RnRC even tho I won't have yet entered that park for the day? I'm planning to hold Little Mermaid and Disney Jr shows for my sister and her kids on our MBs and use Sis & BILs day tickets for FP at AK (nemo for the family and EE/Dino for the 2 adults only)

Scanning so the kids feel involved? Cause, in theory, the parents can just use our tickets in place of the bands at the checkpoint. Then my niece won't notice that she hasn't got one
