I'm now at $134 for a 9-day intermediate reservation.

Which codes are you using? I'm still getting more than that for my 7-day reservation.

I used the Airtran Contract ID 6600422. I honestly don't know whether you need to belong their FF program (I do) to use this code.
I also used the $30 off coupon on a weekly reservation available at the National site.

We're renting 12/9-12/14, which unfortunately means a weekly rate but doesn't include a Saturday night (required for most weekly coupon codes).
But when I'm checking, the rate isn't changing - still shows $180/wk base rate for mid-size, EC member. Thankfully I've already booked at a much lower rate, but just can't figure out why everyone else's rates are changing, and mine's not. I'm clearing cookies each time.

Edited - actually it DOES change, depending on code it's either $180/wk or $190/wk!!

Mine's not changing either. Rate coming up is $170 baserate. Thankfully, my rate is lower than that ($109 all inclusive with EC code and $30 off coupon). I'm renting 12/1 to 12/8; picking up at MCO, dropping off at RSW. I'm wondering if it's the dropoff at a different location that's costing me. Can't really complain - it's a great rate, but nothing like some of the other posters are getting (and not going down!)

OK, so I get home and check the rates again - dropped to $108 with taxes and all! Still can't figure out why it fluctuates so much, but...whatever!

If I use the 5007160, I can save another $8 - but I see it's a code for Continental Frequent Flyers. If I use it, will I be required to show anything for the discount??

According to http://www.mousesavers.com/national.html , you have to be a member. That doesn't mean they will check. But I don't think it's worth risking it to save $8. If they do check and you don't qualify, you may have to pay the standard rate (no discount). Unlikely yes, but there's a big downside and not much to be gained.

For those using 6600422, are you planning on having your frequent flyer card with you? We're not flying in on that airline and I'm not sure I can find my card. I can always get another, I guess.
