Using meal vouchers

When you use a meal voucher, do you have to tell the server before you order that you will be using it or just present it when you get the bill?

A family member gave us a couple because they knew we were going to Disney. It might be a connections voucher but I'm not sure. Others on the board might be able to give you more information on the vouchers because I've never bought or used them before. I'm sorry I couldn't be much help to you!

I haven't used them but we did the gold plan last time where your meals are included. In my experience, I would suggest mentioning to your server when you order that you will be using a voucher. I noticed when we did this our server suggested somethings we could order that would make the most of our wishes. (Wishes are what you use on the gold plan)

We are connections members and just bought 14 new quick and casual vouchers that expire 5/2004 for our trips in June and Dec. The quick and casual vouchers are good for any counter service restaurant at WDW and most resorts(some exeptions). You get an entree, side dish, beverage and dessert for 11.25. Tax and grauities are included for all vouchers. They also have breakfast vouchers at 17.50 adult and they are good for any breakfast including character buffets. These are the ones we have used. The Kingdom Lunch ones are 27.50 for lunch at sitdown rest.(too steep in my opinion).We have always had great service from connections; you join for $80/yr or you can do a trial of one month for $1 then cancel. some folks have had some problems with them , but not me. ordered them on Friday online and got them mon via ups. q&c are convenient , but not always cost effective..depends where you use them. If you can get them on e-bay for less than cost price of 11.25..go for it, but I have seen people spend way over that and that's wasted money!

Aren't those prices obsolete?
I understand the lunch vouchers are at over $30 and some new members are signing up for offers of the first month for $1 and subsequent ones for almost $15, bringing up the annual membership to nearly $180.00

I just joined today and paid $1 for a free 30-day triail membership. After that expires the cost will be $79.95 per year. I also ordered the Q&C vouchers and they are still $11.25 each. Connections also offers great deals on movie tickets.

We showed the waiter/ waitress the voucher as soon as we were seated. Some will tell you extras that can be ordered ( side of shrimp, bacon on sandwich, frozen non alcoholic drink, or milkshake) all included in the voucher. Some won't let you order milkshakes etc. we concidered it a bonus if they gave us the free items not " the last time we got it WHY not now"

We used breakfast for a buffet -- little savings
We used breakfast for grand floridian cafe-- very good value
Q&C at various rest.-- little value to great savings
Kingdom Lunch at Concourse Steakhouse--good deal

For the GFC breakfast we shared 1 voucher.
For Concourse we shared 1 voucher.
For Q&C we sometimes ordered 2 meals and sometimes shared.

We also had NO problem acquiring nor using the vouchers.
It was nice getting a discount but equally glad to know it was already paid for.
