Using ME if not on package reservation

Not sure yet if my husband will be able to join us on our trip. We might not even know until evening prior... If he makes it on the plane with us or on a later flight, could he still use DME to get to te resort?

I don't see a problem with it, you should call Disney and see their opinion though. I don't think there is a problem with two people going at seperate times, but I think you need to have it on the res.

Why not call to ask?

As long as he is listed on the reservation, he is good to go. BUT...if you haven't listed him on your resort reservation, and subsequently on the DME reservation, then no, he can't ride the bus. You could feasibly add him the day before, but again, he has to be on the room reservation first. Then, you can add him to DME at the resort.
I would add him now, in any case. Then if he can't join you, take him off.

They may (or may not) transport you on a DME bus.

The smart thing to do would be to add DH to the reservation (assuming room-only).

Mears...he means Mears, not meats!!!

If your dh goes the Mears route, he can just head down to the Mears counter, just before reaching the DME counter, pay his $19 (one way) and he will be put on a shuttle bus or van. And yes, he may actually get put on a DME bus...depends on the timing.

I'd put his name on the room reservation; however, if he can't make it, have his name taken off ... you'll be charged if you have more than 2 adults in a room. Not sure what your group make-up is ... but something to think about.

Thanks for replies! We are actually on a package, hence the reason I don't want to add him first. I figure it's easier to add him last minute than cancel (especially with dining plan...). The Mears shuttle is an option though, didn't think of that!

As long as he has a ME reservation..... he can't just show up to the bus....

You can call DME directly and arrange his flight home after you have put him on the room reservation.
