I use a lanyard at WDW parks for my passes (Fast pass) and small money amounts. I am assuming this same type of organization will work for me at the Universal parks. I will need my room keys freq to use FOTL benefit?
And, is there pin trading or anything similiar at these parks?

Do they require you to remove lanyards for riding the more intense attractions?

Hi,

I've used lanyards before with no issue whatsoever. I just made sure that the bar code is not facing the side of my lanyard with pictures (one side is not completely see through) so there is no issues when they scan the room key for the express lane.

I tuck the lanyard in my shirt when riding the coasters....

Not much more I can add to that! If you have a lanyard that is clear on both sides, you can stick your ticket on the backside and your roomkey on the front so you will most likely never need to remove either one while at the park unless a scanner is not working well. Sometimes they need to scan the roomkey for the express and sometimes they don't. I think it depends on the person working the line and the time of the year. So, make sure your roomkey barcode is facing out becuase you will be getting that scanned the most.

They do have pins and stuff at the parks but it is not as big as Disney's pin trading.

Also, tuck your lanyard into your shirt when riding big rides to prevent it from falling off. I also suggest getting one that zips close or has a really good seal to prevent anything from falling out or water getting into it when riding water rides!

Yes...you will need to show your room keys every time you want to use the Express line. There is some pin trading but it's nothing like Disney. There are many pins to choose from in the larger stores in both parks. The best advice is to tuck the lanyard inside your shirt on the more thrilling rides.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Same here. Mine is clear on both sides and it holds everything I need. Roomkey one side, ticket on the other and cash/debit in the middle.
